While the OP's question may have been already answered sufficiently, I'd like to add my :2c:FWIW.

Firstly I always fill to above the wicks and rarely have any issue with leakage.....BUT,
yesterday while tasting half a dozen or ten new Juggies juices I had the leaking out the
connector end symptom like the OP did, with only a few of the different jooses.

Why does one joose leak but not the other? I thought?

After essentially power vaping on all the new flavours the SD was really quite warm at times and combined with
some of the thinner jooses (lower VG content) and the excessive heat of the SD the joose was just flowing
"too" well, in some cases....due to higher temps and lower viscosities. Dumping "cooler" "thinner" joose into a "hot" SD
was at the root of my problem along with the thin joose getting even thinner from heating.JMO.

May not have been the case in the OP's instance, but thought I'd throw it out there.:vapor::vapor:

2 cents well spent;

In fact,I remember reading in one of my 1st eGo leaflets that ecigs are not meant to be used below 5C and over 25C

I have many SD V2 & 3 so far its the only thing that works decently for me the rest of the things I tried failled miserebly.

Hitmetwice hit most of the problems if your juice is a bit on the thin side it will build up at the coils and drip onto the battery. If you vape and the top area gets warm you get juice dripping on the battery. If you draw too hard and juice dont burn completly it will drip on battery. Also if you sit them upright you will proably get a drip or two drop down from excess. It's a bit annoying will be trying some other other cartos next week. I love the Stardust its convient and inexpensive but having a hard time cleaning them and having them last long.

I also find that after I clean them the loose alot of flavour lots of vapour just not that much vapour and once they start gurgling you kinda have to roll up a tissues and insert it in the bottom hole to clear out all the juice.

I am curious if you are blowing them out after cleaning to get that water out of there? Also are you doing a dry burn to get rid of the water on the wicks and the gunk on the coil? If not I would recommend it.

I am just totally at a loss with these. Have a couple more coming to try one more time and, if the same thing happens, I give up. Minefield has done a couple of reviews on some cartos lately that have me interested to try. At least I am slowly whittling things down though. Have found my 'go to' juice vendor, have found my preferred battery that will handle anything I am likely to throw at it so now just have to find that 'perfect for me' juice delivery system and I'm set. I really envy those people who say they found their sweet spot with gear and juice virtually right off the bat. Sure wasn't my experience but I'm getting there! Thanks, in a very large part, to the great people here on the forum and to some awesome vendors along the way!

Yes I do blow them out tried alot of different methods Vinegar baking soda, Hot water Warm water, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, Ultrasonic cleaner, dry burning them slowly never letting the coils red for a few secs. I blow the water out used a can of compressed air left them on top of PC fan tried pretty much every trick out there they only seem to last me about a week and need cleaning every 2nd day. I do find the stardust V3 seem to last a bit longer.

Have gone thru about 12 Stardust in the last 5 weeks since I started loved the EGO T carto for about a week. tried the DCT and Stone III never got them to work for verry long. Cant figure out drips tips.

Just having a very frustrating night.

Might try some Vision grande or some greensound GS carto. Maybe get some more Carto and give my DCt a try again.

FisherPal I feel for you having to quit smoking is hard and mood swing are pretty bad for me and spending an hour or 2 everynight researching then spending more money just to feel unsatisified or not having the same results as others is frustrating. I would of thought with the technology these days they would come up with a cheap fool proof system that works or is easy to replace and cheap. Still holding my breath for the Vivi Vision ;)

Well you know ... tonight I was looking at my ole trusty Kanger horizontal cartos again. They've kind of taken a back seat lately whilst trying other stuff out. So I thought to myself ... I wonder what these would be like at 4V on my Twist? So filled one up, screwed it on and ... love affair all over again! Somehow I keep coming back to these over and over again. I thought they were pretty good on the regular Ego's but they rock at 4V (for me anyway). And I really like the idea of being able to lay my ecig down without having to even remotely wonder about leakage. New Straight Shooter juice, new Kanger carto ... vaping bliss again ... kind of wishing I hadn't ordered those other SD's now ...

Figured out most of my problems with my stardust I now take the tank off and really clean the crap out of them with hot tap water then can really dry the wicks with paper towel and clean any residue off the tank.

The dry burn part that most tut fail to mention is that you have to really burn off the crap until the coils are no longer fat and black and can see the white wick in between the coils. they coils have to be a silvery grey lots of shaking and blowing to ensure all the coils are free of all that crud.

The temperature warning are probably for the Lion or Lipo batter they have the same warnings for my RC car battery of the same type.

The leaking issue is also probably caused by the dirty coils not heating up enough or over vaping to get the same hit. So far I've resurrected quite a few of my stardust now. Slowly getting there.
