Greetings Folks!
I am new to vaping--I started three weeks ago tomorrow. I smoked the last cigarette I had, took $35 to the local convenience store, and bought a Vapin Plus 650. I haven't smoked since my first puff on the Vapin Plus. It took about five days to figure out the quirks and idiosyncrasies of my new vaping rig, but now it is basically second nature.
I was a terminal smoker. I had tried to quit at least 1000 times, but the bite of nicotine withdrawal always had me rushing back to the convenience store. The worst thing about the addiction was that it was psychologically tied to the sensation of slowly suffocating; if I tried to quit cigarettes, I became hyper-aware that my lungs were in terrible shape, and a wave of fear would drive me back to the psychological safety of another cigarette fix. Very complex.
I noticed the difference between vaping and smoking within three days. My breathing improved so much that I realized I hadn't "waited too long" to quit smoking. I was thrilled to begin feeling better and better with each passing day. A wicked horrible cough I had been living with for four or five years vanished. I stopped losing my breath when I took my dog for a walk. My heart didn't race anymore whenever I bent over to pick up an object. I can take deep breaths without hacking now.
I've read a lot of information on the internet to find out how much safer vaping is that cigarettes. My conclusion is that it must be about 98% better, at least.
Thank god there is an alternative to cold turkey. This is much better than the gum or the patches. It's massively, massively cheaper, too.
Give yourself a new lease on life. Quit smoking and start vaping.
Thanks to the community for putting so much great information out there.
