is fatigue a sympton of getting rid of toxins? I have been vaping for almost three weeks and haven't even had an analog for two and have just been sleeping the past few days. I used to smoke only in the evenings.

I heard sleep patterns...lack of sleep or extreme tiredness was due to nicotine withdrawal but i think that perhaps my body is detoxing too....

Anyone else go through this? Otherwise.... this is fantastic.... my sinuses have cleared up and i can breath much better and don't really miss smoking.....just very tired...and if it weren't for this forum i really would have been lost.....

Hi cinderoo, this tiredness will pass. From some info I have seen on blood nicotine levels it seems that we are learning to live on less nicotine as well as all the other stuff. This is a very good thing, because if you can make do with half the nicotine your use to then eventually you will be able to quit if you want. Please understand that I am in no way advocating using your PV a lot more to compensate for the lowered amount of nicotine. I feel that you reach your intake maximum level using a PV sooner then you will with cigarettes due in part to the lack of the other chemicals in them. Tobacco companies have been adding chemicals for years that allow smokers to intake more and more nicotine without adverse reactions like nausea other symptoms you will have with nicotine overdose. The lack of these chemicals allow you to reach your bodies natural level then you experience the side effects as your bodies way of saying you have had enough.
The good thing is that you are able to live on about 1/10th of the amount of nicotine that you were using. It will take time to adjust to this then you will feel normal again.

Hope this helps, Vince

Wow...what an amazing experience this is....i feel like i have gone down the rabbit hole...so i am getting less nicotine? amazing....

It is indeed less nic than an analog, but I believe of a higher purity. I experienced a little bit of drowsiness my first 3 weeks of vaping, but it definitely passed. I actually have more energy now than when I was smoking analogs.

Definitely don't get discouraged, you'll be feeling better before you know it!

Had a friend who experienced the fatigue - says the same thing occured when he was taking Chantex and figured it was low nicotine - 12mg. Up'ed his nicotine to 24mg and that was too much. So he went with 16-18mg and no fatigue. 5 pack a day marlboro lights guy.

those were some interesting figures and facts. I learn something new every day here. What a knowledgable group of people... i don't feel depressed or bad...just sleepy....i did google sleep patterns of stopping analogs and found that this is common with people who stop smoking due to decreased nicotine but was unaware that I was actually using less of the nicotine too.....

hey.... i don't feel like an analog....and that is the good part...if this is all i need to get healthier...it is a piece of cake.

I feel like a broken record (large round plastic thing that plays music, for the younger folk) but if it helps..I had pre-existing thyroid problems, and so my unhappy partial gland did not like the switch at all. If your sleepiness persists, it never hurts to have your thyroid levels checked from time to time..
