Usually it's best, to clean your clearos right from the get go. A warm water rinse followed by a vodka soak, then another warm water rinse, let thoroughly dry and way yah go. GL

How true. Got a vivid niva mini and never did this and my beloved root beer tasted like moldy potatoes...mmmm mmmm good old scortched wick flavor..,glad it is back in stock now....

I usually just rinse my new clearos in hot water and let them air dry, that's always a good place to start. I have found that I only like a few of the juices that I order. I would suggest that you only order sample sizes from a few different vendors until you find what type of juice you like and remember to drink plenty of water as vaping is dehydrating. It takes a little while to get some of the these things worked out, but it is worth it. :)

And it's complicated!
Everything can affect what you taste - the juice itself, the CE4, and the voltage all contribute to the flavor you get.
Besides the cleaning, MANY people go on a lengthy "quest" to find the right hardware for them - and the right juice.
You should probably plan on that (buying new stuff to try) being a hobby for a while - it CAN be fun...

Yes basically what you smell is how it should taste, unfortunately you have smokers tongue, and that will take a little time to get your buds back
I found my "smokers tongue" was caused by getting the actual juice on my tongue from too hard a drag

You e-cig ain't your daddy's cig...puff on it vs long hard sucking smoke thru all that "baccy", my technique I found that works well is like trying to puff start a 1/2 lit analog or a pipe, kinda like a choo choo train, puff, puff, puff

Ya when i furst started over a year ago, i could never get great taste out of my clearos or carto tanks

Than i found the hh357 and that changed everything

I. Still use micros and wrap cotton and stainless mesh but my hh 357's are my goto dv

Where can you get the hh357? I looked at canada and couldn't find those. I did fund the Cisco LR atties which are great

I think you should bypass the clearo's altogether and get into a protank or T3's or a botton coil atty. I started out with the CE4's and constant refilling the clearo and they are super easy to get the burn taste, get dry hits from and just all round high maintance of them. Your not constantly twisting to get the juice to the top.
You have to clean out the juice outta the clearo before cleaning but protank you just flip over, unscrew and have the coil head righ there, juice stays in the other part.
The CE4 and other top wick attys are great to learn on but there is better out there...much better.
Youtube is your best friend when it comes to learning all there is needed to know about e-cigs.

I agree with Alter. I know a lot of folks like the top coil clearos, but nothing beats the flavour of a bottom coil. That is, unless you're looking for a warm vape.

I've yet to try the iClears, but the EVODs are my cup of tea right now. So much so, I've pretty much shelved the vamo and dug out the twists.

I find that the kanger bottom tanks, Protank/EVOD mute the full flavour of all the juices I've used them in (compared to carto tanks). But, I find that the stronger tasting juices work for me in them. Mints/menthols, strong fruit/cinnamons..

And you should pick yourself up one of the latest Vamos, they accept the EVOD base. The latest V2s seem to accept them and the V3s accept any eGo thread type device with the huge space around the top ring, which is also removable if even the new ring isn't wide enough.

Humm, odd, I've never had that issue. You do need a bit of time to break in the coils, and you might need to remove some/all of the flavour wicks depending on the juice, but personally I get better flavour from evods than I ever did with a carto tank.

I have a v2 SS vamo, they have ego threading but I've yet to come across any ego device that fits except stardust types. Also, the 510 threads are weak (known issue) - not sure if they fixed it on the v3 or not, but taking that into account and the fact that they are .... ugly now, I'm going to hold off and look at picking up a sigelei zmax telescope, SVD or SID sometime down the road.

ive only tried one bottom coil and it was the protank, leaked and gurgled like a SOB.

may try an EVOD next. didn't care for the metal tip anyway on the protank but it looked VERY NICE.

Replace the flavor wick with a longer wick or cut off the wicking off a old top coil atty and use that, 1mm should be enough. It should stop the gurgling and leaking, cause the stock protanks flavor wick is a bit cheap and short.

I just looked on the site.. I dont see and iClear 16's :(

Ya, he hasn't put them up yet I guess. I grabbed a few from him the other day so I know he has em, if you are picking up you could just email him and ask. Either way you have a lot of good suggestions here, the only reason I go on about the I clears is the simplicity and what I think is great flavour. I have .$150 atties but just got tired of playing around with them when I can just quickly fill the 16 and go on about my day.
