Hi everyone! This is my first post. I started with a Safe Cig micro and it's okay:unsure: but, the battery life is terrible:( and every cartomizer I've tried tastes like plastic:grr:. I want to upgrade to a better PV with a longer battery life and I want to be able to make my own e-juice and use it with a cartomizer. I've been reading the forums like crazy but, I am somewhat of a ditz when it comes to this as I've only been vaping now for 10 days. I've been looking at the Riva 510 from E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings and from other forum posts and as far as I understand the Riva 510 can be used with a cartomizer but, I'm confused:confused:. Do I just screw the cartomizer onto the Riva or do I need an adapter or something like that? Also, (sorry for all these questions.. told you I was ditzy when it comes to PVs:oops:) since I don't want to use cartridges and atomizers do I really need to order the starter kit or could I just order a battery and a charger + cartomizers and a cone? Any help would be soooo appreciated... I really want to order today!!! Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you!!

Yes, the Riva is a decent unit and you just screw the cartomizers into it.
The Riva is based on the eGo. It takes the same cartomizers and other accessories as the eGo or kGo.

The link you posted is to Liberty Flights and they are out of the Riva 510 deluxe cartomizer models. That is the one you will want if you want to go the cartomizer route instead of using atomisers and cartridges.

It's always cheaper to get the kits if you don't already have a charger and other accessories.

I would suggest that, instead of the Riva, you take a look at the kGo. You can get a kit with everything you need, including cartomizers for the same price as the Riva. The kgo also has a 1100mah battery, which should last you pretty much all day.

You can find the kGo at Sweet-Vapes.com and hoosierecigs.com. It is about the same size and a very good upgrade to what you have.

Here is the kGo kits. They come in black, chrome or pink. They are atomizer kits. You need at least one atomizer to test juice before you commit a cartomizer to it. You don't want to use up a cartomizer by filling it with a juice you might not like.

Keep in mind that the kGo has an 1100mah battery. That's almost twice the capacity of the 650mah Riva. The kGo will last much longer between charges, and it will last longer before it needs to be replaced.

Then, get a pack of Boge 2ohm cartomizers and some juice, and you'll be all set.

One last question.. I promise! Does the kGo also have 510 threading? Thanks you so much for all your help!!!
