That's very good advice. I know it's the cartos for sure. The battery lights up no problem when no carto is attached. It also feels like smoking a regular ciggy again. That hollow air-like feeling is completely gone. I'll check out some places around here, that's the prob with ordering stuff online. You just have to take what they give you, and the whole return policy thing is such a pain in the .....

You have all been very helpful and I really, really appreciate it. Thanks!

I hate stories like these...hence my post in the "cigalike" thred...now Natasha has had the same experience as alot of us have had...
DONT GIVE UP!!! ..when you finally get a devise that works and works well you will love it

I strongly suggest to send the whole thing back and get a refund because even if the thing worked...you would soon get frustrated with its performance ...
Alot of us have been there and done that...

I also suggest you look into either a eGo starter or a kGo starter kit...way more bang for your buck
also definitely find a retail store and go there...as a new vapor they are excited to show you the ropes and want your buisness.

Good luck and so sorry you had to deal with such a crappy product apon your entry to vaping....trust me ...there is hope.

I've got to say that I've bought quite a bit from V4L. Most of it works great, but the auto batteries, not so much. Manuals work much better. As several have mentioned, the most likely problem is the center post. If it isn't making a good connection with the cart, you get nothing but air.

Found this video. Maybe it will help. :)

The return policy doesn't include cartos, juice, etc. You can only return hardware.

Sounds like you got a batch of bad carto's ! Or like you said some that had been returned ! I don't know how long a "Shelf Life" pre-filled carto's have but maybe the juice in them just dried up ? But seeing as how the batter lights up when you sucked on it without the carto at least You know that the battery isn't the problem. Get some new carto's and take it from there !

Thanks to the last 3 responses above me ^^^. :) I'm not sure now if it's the cartos or the battery. I watched the video from Kayte (th-you!) and did what the guy said...and now the first 3 cartos worked if I took a really hard, tiring drag. But still heard the "air through a straw" sound. The last 2 cartos ended up pouring out right into my mouth (nasty-tasting, by the way) when I took a hit. So maybe the middle part of the battery is just messed up (the part that connects to the carto), or maybe it's a bad batch of cartos, even though quite a bit of the juice ended up on my lips. :nah:

So on Monday I get my new battery, and we'll see what happens. If I get the same results, then it's definitely the cartos. The odds of getting 2 bad batteries in a row are pretty slim, I guess. If it doesn't work with this second battery, I'm just saying F-it and going back to Luxury Lites. I buy their low-nicotine flavored disposables and love them. The only thing I wish they'd change is that manual button that I've always hated. It reminds me that I'm not smoking a regular cig, and you have to hold it in a weird way like you're smoking a joint. But other than that, I'm in love with their disposables. Everyone says it's cheaper to buy the batteries and chargers and cartos and all that, but to me, it seems a lot more expensive and complicated. Maybe I should just stick with what I know, good old fashioned disposables that are easy and don't require any work at all.

Thanks to everyone on here for being so supportive and helpful. I'll let ya know what happens on Monday. Fingers crossed.
;)
