I started with an e-go battery with a GS-H2 tank that I got from e-bay for less than $10 USD because I wanted to find out if it would work to help me quit smoking and still use this rig when I go out on my bicycle so I don't have to worry about breaking or losing a more expensive rig.I still give these to friend to help them quit. if vaping works for your friend than he can look into a better rig

Hi I'm looking for a decent starter kit for my partner I've seen a lot online but not sure what is the best to choose? I'm looking to spend about £15-£20 at first to see how it goes. Anyone got any good suggestions?

Hi Tom, welcome to the forum. Do a search with the little magnifying glass for starter kits. There is a nice set of threads for them. Just stay away from the little cigalikes (Little things about the size of cigarettes with non-refillable cartridges) Most of the small and medium-size tank units with a good battery will do you fine to start. Personally I use the ismokea mini tank and the spinner II batteries and have no complaints at all. I'm off cancer sticks for almost 2 months now after smoking 1-2PAD's is for 40+ years.

Hi Tom.

£20 (£19.99) is the starting point really to get started.

For example.

Evod Mega Starter Kit - Starter Kits

The trouble with just one battery is, well, one battery.

Many of us started (after failing with E-Lites or Blu or Nicolites) with a double kit from Vape Escape.

Vape Escape 1100 Deluxe Kit [VE151-B1] - £29.75 : Vape Escape

Good luck! :)

It might sound a little confusing, but most of what the internet will find for you is not trustworthy.
There are plenty of shops that will sell you junk for as high a price as they can get away with. Try to avoid the big brands... they are in it solely for the money.

Tom. Compare the EVOD mega at Myepack to the Totally Wicked Tornado V3.

(I don't need the link, which has been removed, I know what it is...)

What do you think?

The V3 Tornado was the first TW product to come bundled with a Vision V3 clearomiser. It's now nearly 3 years out of date. If the mega is too big, and you want slimline, then something like this might suit.

Evod Glass Blister Kit [VE765-B2] - £15.95 : Vape Escape

Actually, it's not a completely bad deal. TW are throwing in 2 x extra coils and liquid.

Basically it's an £8 battery, a £3 tank, a charger (£4), liquid (£5), and coils (£2.50) for £19.99.

I had to laugh though...

The V3 atomizer is one of the ranges from our Replacement Coil System (RCS) series that has taken the world by storm

"taken" is not really past tense. LOL :) Most vendors no longer sell the V3 tanks. TW will get their money off you when you pay £7.99 for 3 replacement heads. I used to buy 5 for £5.99.

I do like TW (sometimes), but their prices online are totally crazy.
