Hello everyone,

I'd brought up the idea to start a website that states the facts of e-vaping neatly in one place in a read only style so as to avoid myths and mistruths for the general public who's trying to read up on these. A fellow member saw my post and decided to take that plan into action. Along with the information there will be a forum for activism type issues only (we're not trying to compete with this one!) where people can join together and contact government, etc. We will also post news on there. There will be no endorsing of suppliers or products, just general information about e-cigs. I want to advertise this forum on the new site as well.

Now, I'd like this to be a sort of community project as far as content is concerned as it's for the greater good of e-cigs and not for any individual concern. I'd like it to be fairly short and sweet, but still get plenty of information in. I'm thinking about posting information about nicotine, about our liquid and the ingredients (PG and non PG). I also want to post the links to tests that have been made, and info on the devices themselves and how they're used. If you have any other ideas feel free to post them.

If you could link me to threads/posts or quote some you think would be useful information that would be great. I'd like to get the final words on subjects that have been settled in long threads. If I need to use someone's exact words I'll ask before I use them.

I'm anticipating some touchy subjects (i.e. quitting smoking). It's so easy to quit smoking real cigs with these. How would I word this? Switching from real cigs to e-cigs instead of "quitting"? I certainly won't label them as a quit smoking device, but rather a cigarette alternative. Just let me know your thoughts on this :).

Hope this isn't too tall of an order! More digging than anything. It's all here, but broken up in lengthy posts and debates. Thanks in advance everyone!!!

I'll gladly help with this, I run a few websites. One thing I would suggest is a "portal" for any scientific papers relevant to e-smoking (for example, all the papers to do with the safety of propylene glycol as well as the new studies relating to e-smoking in particular, the stuff that tobaccoharmreduction.org are planning to run) in a fair and balanced way. That way, people could be referred to the new site if they have medical concerns. (It could be focused at doctors, lawmakers or researchers planning to look into this practise if you like)

It's the sort of front-end that this website lacks.

Great ideas nqhqhz! That's kind of what I'm thinking in as far as links to all the tests, etc. Maybe have a Health and Testing page or something along those lines. I was thinking of adding something in there asking if anyone/organization would be willing to conduct additional research as well. An open invitation if you will.

Kate, thanks so much for the links!!! I wonder if I could post the videos from here in a Videos and How to section? Guess I'll ask Dusty (is that his name?) if he's ok with it.

Thanks again ya'll!!!

Everyone else feel free to make additional suggestions if you have any :)

I think this is a great idea. This forum is great but it's still a forum. It would be great for beginners (like me) to have a place where everything you need to know is nicely laid out, in a sort of guide style. I actually thought of doing this myself, but seeing as I'm still waiting for my first round of e-cig supplies to arrive, it's probably better for someone with more experience to do it.

I've done some work on the Wikipedia article, pretty much revamped it based on what I've been reading here (originally it was focused on the Ruyan device and seemed to have been written by resellers). It's just got basic info, but Wikipedia articles are licensed so that you can copy whatever you want word-for-word and use it however you like. In case that helps you at all.
