E-cig vs. PV

My gears are turning and I'd like to get some input on this if you would please. I was reading a thread earlier where the discussion came to the topic of if we are still really smokers or not. It got me to thinking about what we call our devices...e-cigs or PVs.

I can see where e-cig would definitely attract a smoker's attention to the product more than if it was just known as PV, but if we are getting away from smoking then why use the word cigarette?

So my question is... When you are talking to other people about your device, do you call it your e-cig or PV? Or if you've used both names, do people respond any differently to one than the other?

I try really hard NOT to use the phrase 'ecig' but tbh to a lot of smokers the phrase PV' means squat an they can't equate it with anything. They think PV is some kind of medical device or asthma medicine so Ive been forced to use 'e-cig' to describe them a few times

I think "device" has a good sound to it. I love my devices.

Most of the guys I work with refer to it as my "e-blunt" because of the size and shape of my eGo. Now they just make fun of me because of my 5v boxmod and the Mr. Puffer. They just don't understand.

I usually call it my vaporizer when describing it in public. On here, I usually use e-cig.

The word cigarette has a bad connotation hence why I avoid it.
