Hi everyone,
I'm 32 years old, me and my girlfriend have been smoking since we were 17. Today I received our 2 Volcano kits, they are charging right now and I'm very excited to start cutting down on conventional cigs. Last week I was down at the Exxon getting smokes and decided to try a eonsmoke e-cig. They weren't great but I could see myself getting used to them and the most important is that I felt they could ween me off regular cigs. Later that night we went back and got her the same but in menthol. We have been back and forth all week between the e-cigs and regular cigs. We wanted something with more vapor and a little more "hit". We researched and watched a lot of youtube videos and decided to order 2 volcano kits.
I do have one question, i tested it all out quickly before charging them, one of her menthol cartomizers was tough to take a drag on, like it was clogged, then I got a shot of menthol juice in my mouth. So my question is, can I fix this?

Welcome to ECF! You are certainly in good company now. :p

The carto probably had some juice stuck in the wick tube. If that happens again, just blow the juice out of the carto onto a paper towel. It happens when the carto is improperly filled, or condensation builds up and drips down the wick tube. Hope that helps.

You should find that cutting down on the smoking should be fairly easy and painless, but quitting the stinkies may take a wee bit if effort. I spent 2 months vaping and smoking before finally making a conscious effort to knock out cigarettes once and for all. It wasn't easy at first, but then again, it wasn't that hard either. The biggest incentive to cutting cigarettes out 100% is the return of your sense of smell and taste, as well as not smelling like an ashtray.

Best of luck to you and your GF. :D

I also agree with spaceballrules advice. Here's a vid for filling cartos the first time- afterwards just top it off with drops.

Hi and welcome !
I've not used cartomisers for a long time but in that situation in the past I usually just unscrew the carto and give it a blow out so any blocked juice should come out of the screw thread. It has worked for me in the past but there will no doubt be better advice incoming...
I wish you both the best !

Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. I will try giving it a blow when I cool down. Out here in the Poconos, storms usually come out of nowhere, bright and sunny when I was outside and the rumbles started.
@ vapor eyes er - I watched the video, but a quick ?. Lets say at some point I enjoy the cartos I got enough that I want the same flavor, can I use the method in the video to refill them? or can I just drip (I do a lot of modeling so I have plenty of unused glue applicators, the ones with the needle tips )

thanks guys,
Larry

Any juice that you buy will come in bottles that already have drippers built in.

For filling new cartos, I just drip 20-30 drops (depending on what type of carto you have) into the polyfill and wait a few minutes for it to soak into the wick. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. After that, I top off the carto as needed, making sure to never let it go dry. If the carto goes dry, the polyfill will scorch. On the other hand, if you overfill the carto, just blow out the excess onto a paper towel.

Here is a video that demonstrates the drip method...

As Space mentioned the juice bottles come with droppers. After the first fill condom style you only need to drip a few drops down into the polyfill/ tilted carto every so often. "If" you don't have a steady hand gently place a round toothpick in the center passage to help avoid juice going in. You want to try and stay away form glue applicators unless you're 110% sure they are completely clean as you'll be vaping the stuff. As the vid says when the polyfill is grey and slushie it's ok- over time you'll notice that it turns white and that's when you refill. Next step for you is either a carto tank and/or clearomizer.

cartomizer/ carto- metal tube with stuffing and element.

carto+tank- a carto with a hole punched in it. Carto is than placed in a glass, metal or plastic tank which is filled with juice- juice saturates carto by way of hole in carto.

Hey guys, again ty for the responses and tips.
Just wanted to update, I'm still waiting for my inferno, should come monday! My gf wants to stick to the cigarette looking e-cigs which is fine, as I do smoke much more than her, I have gone through 5 carts in 2 days! But will be saving my used carts for her and refill them using the condom methods in the videos you have sent. My first ecig was an eonsmoke, haven't read much about it on here, but its the only brand I can get carts right now down at the local Exxon. I tried 24 mg chocolate yesterday and honestly since then have not thought once about going back on analog! I'm excited today, its my Birthday and this is the first birthday in 16 years that I have woken up smoke free!!!

Thanks,
Larry
