Hey everybody !
My name is Aldo, and i've been smoking for 8years now. I've been searching a lot about e-cigs and now it is time for me to leave carbon monoxyd and tar behind ! I still have a few doubts which I hope you can clarify for me.
First of all, I live in Portugal and I must get all the products from the internet, so I hope you can point out some reliable online stores that ship in here. I was thinking about thebestshop?? I'll wait for suggestions.
I have around 100€ available to spend incl shipment taxes. which setup would you recommend?
Throat kick is a very important matter for me and vap production, as far as flavour is concerned I also wanted a mid-high result.
I was thinking of a setup with eGo batts, and LR attys. Should I go for the eGo attys or the 510 ones?
is there a starter kit that has a good combination of those?
I also wanted to order e-juice and empty cartridges so I can save in shipment taxes. I love cigars so I guess a tobacco flvr would be essential, but I'm open to new experiences.
I apologize for all the restrictions but I want to have a good experience so I don't turn back on analog. Hope some of you can help me finding the right products at the right store, I'll be anxiously waiting for replys.
Thanks in advance.
Greetings

Aldo

Hello & welcome Aldo :)

A great starter kit that so many people are recommending is the Riva 510 (prices are in GBP on this link)
Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510
It comes with a standard 510 atomiser & a LR510, so you would be able to try both. Liberty Flights also sell e-liquid & if you use the code ECR69 you will get 15% off the listed prices. So even with P&P it should come to well under your budget :)

thanks for the quick replys.
Chrissie, I've checked up libertyflights page... and I think RIVA is the exact setup I was planning on.. big battery and lr attys. All this pieces are compatible with the regular joye spares right?
unfortunately they only have the pink one available for selling which is "odd"... Don't want to look like a Macho, lol, but using a pink vap wasn't exactly what I had in mind ! loool
maybe I'll wait for them to restock or try to find that in other euroshops... but the price seemed really good! and there's also the problem of reliability of other stores i may encounter! maybe I'll post the same topic on the euro-foruns as dormouse suggested whenever I get the chance...

Ah sorry Aldo I didn't notice that, I agree pink might not be the best colour for you :D

I'm not a Riva user myself, but certain that the Joye atomisers & most other parts are compatible with it. I'm trying to think where I've seen the next best price for it.

I've not used a generic e-cig for about 18 months now, but so many people on my own forum love the Riva, hence why I recommended it. :) I use big battery mods - GG Grant & GGTS (for more info check out the GG sub-forum in the suppliers section)
The GG

And I also use an E-cig city passthru from liberty Flights.

I'm definitily getting that Riva kit from LF. It seems the best option, a good store and cheap too! I would now like some advice on what spare parts to get when I order, and also which e-juices you people prefer and are available there. I apologize once again for being such a p.i.t.a but the matter of shipment costs and the time it may take for the order to get here are problems that I must reduce by ordering all together ! :)

On the blank cartomizers, I would suggest going for the Boge 2 ohm 510 cartomizers. They are not as low resistance as some LR atomizers, but do quite nicely.

Juice (eliquid) is critical, and tough. If you smoked pack a day or more of regular cigarettes, 24 mg/ml strength is likely right, while if you smoked lights then 16 - 18 is typical. Always get at least one small bottle of one level lower, and one bottle of higher, as "just in case" (for cravings, strong urges, use the stronger eliquid).

Budget 3 ml per day of liquid, at least at first, if you smoke fairly often. Some may use less, others more (I vape a lot, somewhere up near 5 ml/day, but that is because I chain-vape a lower mg/ml eliquid during work.).

Dial-in your needed mg first, before worrying about trying many flavors. If you smoke normal tobacco, get a tobacco flavor in the different strengths. If a menthol user do the same in menthol.

Good luck!

PG e-liquid right? i heard it gives a more powerfull TK...
I'm going for 24mg and try some 18 probably... I used to smoke half a pack of Luckies, during the week, but htat number would fire up at weekends or days that I would go out and play cards....
I'll be looking to order a bottle of 30ml of one solid flavour and many different bottles of 5 or 10mls from diff flavours to try out!
and with that information I guess my decision is almost taken, and probably I won't be much of budget (i hope)
so it will be:
1x Riva 510 - Special Edition/Lite Bundle - 30
1x 510 LR atty - 6,5
1x 510 regular atomizer - 7
1x Drip Tip - 2
5x Blank Cartridge - 5
10x Boge 2,0 Empty Cartomizers - 13
5x 510 1,7 Cartomizers - 6,5
......... =70pounds = 83€
83€ * 20% = 16,6
83 - 16,6= 66,4€

That means I still have about 40 € to buy e-liqs.
The 30mls bottles are about 13,6€ with the discount and the 5mls bottles are 2,4€. That's gotta be enough right? for a start?
What do you think of this shopping basket?
thanks everyone on suggestions and advice.

Aldo, Razorclaw is right, LF's prices are so good on the Riva they sell out fast.

They do have some other colours available in the Riva Light Bundle on their US site - but not sure about how long it would take to get to you or P&P or any import duty?

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

I've not tried any of their juices myself as I mainly buy mine from Paradise Vapes (love his L&B, but he is also out of stock of that at the moment).
Paradise Vape UK _ Vape dont smoke

I've also recently bought juice from a supplier in The Netherlands. Fairly certain it is Dekang juice - not the very best IMHO but more than vapable & at such good prices.

Liquid nicotine

That sounds like a very good shopping list to start with Aldo :D

If you find the 24mg liquid too strong, you can cut it by buying some glycerine. It's sold in most chemists in the UK for about £1 for 100ml & I'm sure you will be able to buy it in Portugal. It will cut down the flavour & the throat hit a bit though, but adding VG does create more vapour.

Just a thought to reduce your initial outlay further. You most likely wont need the empty cartridges as you can restuff the ones you get with the kit & newly stuff the completely blank ones you get attached to most atomisers you buy. You won't even have to think of restuffing for a while a cartridges can be filled & washed out many times over before needing to do so. When they do eventually need restuffing come back & ask about things like fluval/blue foam/tea bags etc ;D Lol trying not to confuse you with too much info to begin with :D

Great ! :D it's all starting to come together and Im really excited to give up on the smoke ! Which I love anyway, and that's why i have to find a substitute ;p lool
I might go out budget a little to acquire the 900mAh eGo XL batt for those days i'm out on work or the poker tournamnts ! Ahah xD I will now send an email to LF asking for those and for some details on shipment and payment methods, as well as the next date they are expecting to have the stock etc!
Thanks once again to everyone and specially to you Chrissie :) i certainly hope to vape with you someday ;p
