Wanted to post this here for more reviews. CASAA has released an initial review of the FDA proposal. CASAA: CASAA Assessment of FDA Deeming Regulation, April 25, 2014

I am posting this here to show that not only is CASAA aware of the proposal, but they have taken their time to express their initial reactions based on the entirety of the document and not on word of mouth or glimpses previously provided by the FDA. They state that a more in depth review will be available next week and calls to action will soon follow. It is my intent that this post will help reduce the shock and anxiety newer members have over the proposal and will hold off on signing any petition until encouraged to do so by CASAA. I post this not in the CASAA section as this is the one board which continues to get bombarded with 'sign this petition' and newer members posting regarding the proposal.

I actually just finished reading it, and urge everyone who hasn't to do so.

And most importantly, the end of it:
"Please remember that a comment to the FDA regulations made on Day 1 is given no more weight than a comment made on Day 75. We urge the vaping community and others interested in opposing regulation that discourages tobacco harm reduction to await further analysis before acting. There is no benefit in acting or opining precipitously."

We all need to settle down, have a vape, and do our research. You only get one chance to comment**, and while I suggest everyone do so it needs to be done carefully. Make that one** comment count

**[MOD NOTE] Only one comment proved to be a false rumor. You may make as many as you feel necessary.

I completely agree with this. I hope it continues to be bumped so that all may view, and hopefully before determining whether or not to sign any petition. Heck, a quick rewording of this document and I would gladly sign it!

I agree with all of you. Let's not jump up and start signing every petition that someone may come up with. As members of casaa we should all follow their lead and do a lot of reading over the next few weeks and get our attempt to stop regulations done right the first time, because we may not get a second chance

With any community, there will be those people who jump the gun. I've done it myself a couple of times and regretted within 15 min after I settled down.
I have not yet read the regulations, but will do so soon. Then I will await CASAAs response to see if I can help there. If not, then I will spend a couple of weeks to compose a calm response and put that on the FDA comment page.
