A post on another thread prompted me to do a little research, and I came across a liquid called 'Clear Steam'.

I try to be as considerate with my vaping as possible, and there are some situations in which blowing even small clouds is inappropriate.

I mix my own liquid, and I see that Clear Steam is basically PG and water with no VG, so I should have everything I need already.

I have never used water in my liquids, so I'm not sure how much I should use in order to get a stealth liquid.

Has anyone done this, and if so, what ratio would you recommend?

I wouldn't use boiled tap...while it's not toxic to drink per se, you're vaporizing chlorinated and flourinated water with who knows what else is lurking in it after it travels x amount of miles through all sorts of piping to your home. (unless of course you have in-line water softening and flitration, or better yet, an osmosis system)

Here's my take on this. VG produces a lot of visible vapor, PG still produces some but nowhere near as much. Water as far as I can tell from dry burning it out when I clean my coils produces almost nothing. Therefore adding water to PG would make it a nearly invisible vapor, while still allowing the PG to produce a TH sensation. Gonna have to try this out as my 100% PG concoctions still produce too much visible vapor for stealthing adequately at a subohm level vape. Thanks for sharing.

I use water to thin VG, but don't see a reason to use it with PG as it already has low viscosity and produces far less vapor. Am I missing something?

I really don't see a reason to use water with PG either. I would think it
would leak easily? I've just used it to thin VG.
And my tap water is well water and filtered well, so yeah don't boil it
if you live in an area where you don't have very pure water.
Back when I started I 2013 I was into cigalikes.(looked like a cigarette)
Virtually every manufacturer added distilled water into the the juice to obtain
consistent viscosity and, extend shelf life and, enhance vapor production.
Some had up to 20% water. The average as I remember was 7-8% water.
Water is essential as when heat is applied it evaporates and reaches boiling
at a temperature much lower that PG.(roughly 140 to 160F lower) Water vaporizes
at roughly 340 F lower than VG.

In low powered devices like cigalikes it was water than made them work.
This is still true with high powered devices. Everyday there are new posts
complaining about burnt hits and bad tasting juice or,or coils that never seem to
work. Most if not all of these problems are because the juice is to thick.
There isn't enough water to atomize and wick the base mix effectively.
Even with out water added the average amount of water present would be
2 to 3 % due to PG/VG's hygroscopic qualities of absorbing
water relative to the humidity in the air.
Regards
Mike
