FYI - he added a few brass LP RM2's. I just ordered one.

Also - progressing/getting a bit better at squonking. My 2nd build... Around 1.3ohms.

Very nice, but you really don't need all that cotton in there. All that is needed is tails long enough to touch the deck. That is the beauty of a squonker....fresh juice on demand.
Cool. No advantage to maybe have to squonk less often maybe? That's why I did it, but I obviously have no experience what so ever with it. Heck, I never even dripped at any point... Lol. Been all tanks (kayfun style mostly).

I also went back to a trusted micro coil... Haha

Still using and enjoying this mod, though being the tinkerer I am, I have made a few modifications. First the one i have no pic of, I added a very thin layer of hot glue to the switch on the board to remove the button rattle, worked like a charm no rattle at all anymore.

I then decided I was kind of bored of the flat color of the battery cover so gave it my own paintjob:

After that I decided to add more red to match by adding a high voltage range red 3mm LED to the output circuit(meaning it lights up when I fire the device) :

and most recently made the feeding system compatible with PET plastic bottles becasue I'm not a huge fan of LDPE plastic and how it reacts to eliquid over time:

needless to say I still love this mod and even more so now that I've "made it my own" :)

Hey All,
I found an Authentic Steam Crave Squonk on Fastteck and it seems like a good buy, but I wanted to check in with those of you who have had this for a while and see how it is holding up.

Currently I am running COV Wraith as my primary and if any of you have both, I would love to know how they compare.

$56.72 Authentic Steam Crave Squonk 60W TC VW APV Box Mod - 7-60W / 200-600'F / 1*18650 / built-in 10ml liquid bottle at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Hi,

I have both and use both regularly. The Steam Crave works very well except for two minor issues. The squonk tube connection is a bit sloppy and leaked, which I fixed with a bit of wire in a homemade clamp. Also, getting the battery out is a little tricky. If you just pull it out, you run the risk of ripping the wrapping on mine. The COV is great and has an excellent build quality (except for the little plastic thing holding the battery behind the bottle).

I never had luck with mine. First one was doa. Second one worked but fresh charged battery (new lg or sony) would be lucky to last an hour before it started throttling my wattage down to where it wouldnt even heat the coil enough for a hit.
I spent $100 on it when it first came out. Used it one time and never again.

My reos and squonking were great for years but ive moved on to better things.
My 30mm ohmega calypso genny sitting ontop a 3 bat mod has made squonking pointless.
Just my 2 cents

Thanks sarndt0 & deezdrama. Based on that I may be better either ordering another Wraith or a VT Inbox.
