i see how steam engine has alot of options to browse thru - parellel coils, single, dual, quad, ect.

im suprized but not - i think an option for pancake/stovetop coils should be added.

i use this calculator alot and find myself paying attention to the "heat flux" results. - it would be nice to have the option for pankcake coils so i can see the heatflux that they produce ---- and others who may use the calc to find out how many "swirls" they need for a specific ohm range :2c:

found myself posting here - as the "support page" of the steam engine, only refers you to casaa.org to join membership. nothing to email anyone who develops the program

Good idea, I've not tried a stovetop coil yet, but I know they are getting more and more popular.

In addition, there is an email address he's posted.

using chrome currently - on a computer.

i was able to "read" and gather the info needed to email him directly - already done.

the responce was - its hard to make a model for it so all values would come out incorect, due to spacing issues of the coil and whatnot. BUT it is achievable to look at the heat flux, if put into advanced mode and input the wire properties ect.
