so i came about something new coming to the hookah scene: steam stones. so its basically these porous little stones that they soak in glycerin and flavorings and use this in the hookah instead of the traditional tobacco/molasses mixture. by this concept, all youre getting is steam (or water vapor? whatever). since you cant burn stones (like how you can burn the tobacco in hookah tobacco), there's no tar or any of that bad stuff from tobacco. so, this is basically the same concept as an e-cig! you can get these stones dry so you can add your own juice to them. i thought was very interesting because we could in turn use our favorite e-juices (without nicotine, 100% vg) on these stones and enjoy it as a hookah session! what are your guy's thoughts about this?

all i know of as right now is two brands that use the steam stones: Pure steam stones and Shiazo steam stones

Shiazo Steam Stones: Shiazo - Shisha-Steam-Stones - Steam with the Shiazo stones

I have used these a bunch of times, not the newer reiterations of them but the original idea from Germany. The clouds of smoke were good, the flavor was very good. There is not tobacco involved which is a serious plus if you are looking to keep from burning plant matter or over-heating the tobacco base and getting burned tastes. It still does not remedy one of the main problems of hookah smoking, which is the coals. The coals give off large amounts of monoxide which you inhale. Ecigs do not use any combustion which is why as far as safety is concerned Ecigs are thought to be better. Avoiding flame and coals altogether is assumed to be the best way for smoke-related nicotine deliverance.

well, there are electronic coals out there, but i heard they didnt produce enough heat. also, you would have to plug them into an outlet, which makes you pretty limited to where you can hookah.

e-hookahs in the modders section? are those the ones that just have the hookah as just for decoration and the actually device is the hose being modified to incorporate a battery/switch/atty?
Not really sure since it's not my thing. I'm pretty sure there are a few designs. The modders are a very creative group. I think I saw some that had several atomizers with an actual hookah hose extending from a "blub/jar/whatever" thing. Best to check the modders section and maybe even ask. I'm sure you'll get feedback there.

Why ? Hookah has much stronger flavor/Vapor. Yes I avoid the bad version. But why would u prefer E-cig if these stones are not bad?

You're ignoring the rest of the post for some reason.

Bad = coal (Carbon monoxide and other nasty stuff due to combustion)
Bad = PG/VG heated to too high a level (acrolein production, etc).

An E-hookah using atomizers (no coal) and regular e-juice would be OK. But why bother with a bulky hookah then? Just collapse/condense the whole thing and you have an e-cig.

If you want an e-cig in a hookah style, fine by me as along as you use atomizers and proper (low) temperatures for the e-juice.

Just my opinions/guesses. No offense intended to those that like hookah style vaping...
I only posted in this tread to mention that the modder's section as info on hookah style e-cig stuff.

I use these in a vaporizer intended for other uses. It uses a ceramic heating element to heat air that you draw through a wand which has one of these ceramic discs in it.

It produces the cleanest, smoothest vape I've ever had.

In fact, I like it more than most of my ecigs (provari/reo/kGos,whathaveyou).
