What would you consider "a decent vape"? I own several Bliss atomizers (essentially the same as the Steam Turbine, just not as fancy a cap and glass protector). They're absolute pains to set up and get rid of hotspots, but when I get them right (dual coils, 0.8 - 1.0 ohm total) the vape is outstanding, and I've never had a problem with wicking. What I've discovered about the Bliss (and I assume the same goes for the Steam Turbine) is that they were made for flavor, not vapor production. I was a little sad at the lack of vapor at first, but you just can't beat that kind of warm, flavorful vape.

this is true. the flavor from my turbine is outstanding! but if youre looking for a cloud machine, the turbine isnt it. while i do get a decent amount of vapor, the cloud isnt anything compared to my dripper.

mine works just fine with SS.
Maybe the Titanium version gives it super powers.....

you may just need to practice a few builds....
look up genisis SS build tutorials, you will eventually get it.

Well I was unfortunately lead to believe that the steam turbine was more of a cloud machine than my russian or the kraken, so I kinda took the guy's word for it becuase who doesn't like thick clouds? I was going to post pictures but I can't get them to uploaded. I have 9-10 wraps of 28g kanthal on a 5/64 drill bit which clocked in on my meter at about 1.5-1.6 ohms coils are nice and pretty glowing from inside out as is SOP for coils. But something strange kind of happened today I was vaping it last night and I was enjoying it, it gives out decent flavor, but this morning my resitance jumped up to 4.1ohms! but I checked for shorts and I couldn't find any and all my regulated devices fired it so now I am kinda stumped on this. OH! I have cotton wicking, both ends going into the tank of the ST, which does ok I am still trying to tinker with the amount of cotton my last build was great, no dry hits but I rewicked it this morning while checking for the cause of the jump in resitance and its dry hitting now. I really like it I am just trying to work out the kinks in it.

yes make sure the air hole and the coil line up. i made the mistake of putting a coil in the refill hole instead of on the opposite side of the first coil. didnt vape too well. but your build doesnt look bad at all. and just a question...it looks like you are on an mvp. probably a v2 bvecause you mentioned you checked the ohm rating. are you sure that 4.1 you saw wasnt the voltage reading? by looking at the picture i cant see why it would jump up that much or at all

it should line up with the air holes on the top cap. there are three holes youll see on the deck, 2 are for wick and one is to refill. put your coil above one of the 2 opposing holes, not the refill hole. if its a real turbine itll line up perfectly. i hear clones dont line up. i dont get why the resistance is fluctuating.

Ok, so I took your advice and built a vertical mircocoil with cotton in one of the holes, plugged the other hole with cotton leaving the fill hole open for air exchange. Here is the results.

Ok Vape production is double about on par with all my other devices, minus my dripper, but it is satisfying I think I have all of the kinks worked out on this device, I do get the odd dry hit when I forget to tilt it and let the wick soak up some liquid. It's vaping melon boba pretty good atm. Thanks for all the help guys!:vapor:
