Steampunk Nano TC settings

I’m finally getting around to playing with the Steampunk Nano and Ive got a Hunter Royal X rda on it with 26g ss316L single spaced coil on it at .4 ohms. I set the SS mode at 45watts and 420F and locked resistance. And poof not much at all happens.

There is a TCR mode so I’m wondering if anyone who has the mod has used it successfully in SS or if in TCR mode what resistance number are you using to get this kicking? Thanks

I don’t have that mod but I’d like to say you have a beautiful setup there. You should just try some different tcr numbers and see if the vape improves. Start in the low 90’s and go up to 110. You should get a better vape somewhere in there.

Running my 28g round wire single spaced 316L with TCR 100 25W in a KF Prime on the tesla nano, works beautifully.
Yours may be different, so like madstabber suggests you might need to experiment a bit with the TCR.

I've always found the steampunk settings pretty accurate and easygoing but honestly, I don't use TC that much with it (I rarely hit temp protect, if ever, so for me it's not super useful). I'd agree with trying to vary your settings a bit and perhaps TCR will be a bit more useful for you. It's possible. You are likely going to need a bit more tweaking than a DNA setup (possibly, depending on your values). Best of luck with it, you've gotten good advice, so I'll just say good luck

With TC you need an accurate reading of the coil at room temp, spaced coil, and wattage a little above what you would normally use in wattage mode.

You can use the TCR mode or SS mode. TCR for SS316l is 88
