Please let me know. I'm always overtightening the plastic ones to get a good seal and I break the thread ring loose.

Okey Dokey, I just got home from the post office with my goodies It looks to me Ctor that it's a seperate ring attached to the tip. I don't have perfect vision now, but I can see what looks like a line around it where it meets the steel. I have to tell you though, I got a half dozen of these and they all screw on VERY SMOOTHLY and have a TIGHT fit. I tried them all to see. You won't have to crank these down to feel it's a tight fit like the plastic ones. I can immediately feel when it's snugged down in there. I recommend you at least try one. You may just be as glad you did as I am. And they look nice too !
