Just got a 4 bottle sample pk from http://www.goodlifevapor.com/ :

Twilight Zone, OurYChai, Strawberry Obsession, and Raspberry Royale.

All I can remember is that the OurYChai needed 6-7 days steeping. Either the rest of them didn't say, or I don't remember. I can't view their site because it's down for maintenance until Sunday.

Does anyone have experience with these flavors? Or any guidance in general to know if they need to be steeped?

I know flavors that are fruity/sweet may need to be steeped for about 2-4 days. If you bought them from a supplier I would assume they were already steeped, but since the website said "OurYChai" needs to be steeped then I am not sure. Some of the juice has Diacetyl and some other kind of alchohol (can't remember the name) and need to be steeped to let it evaporate out of the juice.

It won't hurt you it just may make the juices taste a little different. Try them all and see how you like them, then try them at a later date to see if you like them any more/less. Most juices get better after they are steeped.

For our intents and purposes, does steep just mean, like, wait?

Specially for Tobacco flavours you need to wait... A LOT.
I just started to enjoy the Gorilla juice from Avejuice after.... wait for it.... two months! , Bobba's Bounty was good after about 5-6 weeks.
Regular Ry4 and other light tobaccos are vapeable at full potential after about 4 weeks.

Some people say take cap off but this way the nicotine oxidize so I say , cap on , full darkness , shake every week (optional).

Do you leave the top off? I am kind of new at this and have interpreted that this speeds up the process.

out of curiosity.. and someone please enlighten me here. because noob.

when u get a new bottle of liquid. and you decide to "steep" and wait for, say 4-6 weeks before vaping it.. considering this scenario, whats to say the bottle of liquid hasn't already been sitting in the store for the past 4-6 weeks before being sold to you?

Also helps if the top is unscrewed and it can get some air. Have it in a clean place with not much light.

Steeping is done with the bottle closed. Having it open does nothing for this process. Leaving the top off will allow some alcohol or chemical scent/flavor to evaporate. I've never found it needed in any juice I've tried.

Once you have experience with a particular juice you will know what it should taste like when it's good. My process with a new juice is to try it when I get it. If I like it I vape it. If it gets better with a bit of time well, then I know next time to let it steep a bit. If I try it and don't like it I let it steep and try it after a week, then after another week, etc, until it improves. Some juices just never become good for some people. Taste is subjective. Also, steeping generally does not change the flavor that much, it's a fairly subtle thing usually. Typically, once it's steeped a couple of months it is not going to change much any more.

I was under the impression that the alcohol was what made it taste irregular. My bad o_O

Glass bottle vs plastic??

I make my own juice and use glass bottles, but I will be using those bottles forever. When I bought pre-mixed juice in plastic bottles I never switched them to glass and didn't have any issues even after sitting in plastic for a year a few times. But I threw out those bottles after using them once.
