I got a couple that have been classified (by me) as emergency juice, yes they taste that bad. So they might be sitting for quite some time before I or anyone else ever vapes them. Is it possible that they will go rancid like oil? Or something like that?

I've found that after a couple of months all that is going to change in taste has generally changed. I've always read that one year is safe to store juices. I would not go much past that to be safe.
I really gald this post was up front in the newb section. I just read last night about a juice needing to "steep" and I assumed it ment in the tank for that long. Which of course sounded ridiculous, but hey you never know.
out of curiosity.. and someone please enlighten me here. because noob.
when u get a new bottle of liquid. and you decide to "steep" and wait for, say 4-6 weeks before vaping it.. considering this scenario, whats to say the bottle of liquid hasn't already been sitting in the store for the past 4-6 weeks before being sold to you?
For the most part the vendors make the juice to order, so its fresh.
If you buy it at a place that does not make their own juice, then for the most part it won't need any steeping because it was premade and has had time to steep
I am not very technical about vaping. But let me tell you this. In my very beginnig I bought a Dekang Big Ben. I liked it and asked my supplier 6 bottles. They were not that good meanwhile I bought a number 5 (My favorite) I ordered 10 Number 5 again. some of them were good some I found excuses that when you are too long with same brand you get used to it and it did not taste as the beginning. My #5s were finished and I could not find again so I tasted remaining big bens they were wanderfull. This is what waiting some time gives your juices.
What is more the first number5 seller gave up electronic cigarettes trading and offered me all remaining liquids with a very small amount. (Nearly one liquid price he gave me 21 bottles) There were 4 number 5 in the lot. Brother what number 5 they were.
Now I buy 2nd month's stock and I dont use new ones at least one month after I buy

Never really tried steeping because most of my purchased liquids were premade and stored for some number of days or weeks, but just recently ordered some juices that were made to order so currently in the process of steeping them for a week. Hope it turns out good.
