Hey gang,

I DIY pretty simple stuff thus far, mostly just Hangsen from concentrate. Mix it, crock pot bath for 4 hours, let rest a few day, and vape. Other juices I have done have all pretty much been shake and vape using Capella's.

Just mixed up a few test bottles of strawberry and cream, strawberry cheese cake, etc with Wizard Labs and Vapingzone. How should I steep these? Crock pot method? Shake and vape? A few of the flavors include cream and one is a vanilla custard.

Sorry for the DIY101 questions...

from a 101 DIY'er.... i have noticed my creams, vanillas and custards all improve drastically after 2 weeks. tobacco's 4 weeks. even with hot water steeping.so if i hit on a really good recipe i make 300 ml. then when that gets about half gone i make 100 ml and add it to the original. this way i always have a couple of ready to vape favs. betcha Danny can explain it better...

Yes it's called seed steeping. Make a fresh new batch and add it to an old batch that has about 15% left in the bottle and it will steep in about 2 days. So if you have a new batch that usually takes 5 weeks to steep naturally by adding a fresh new mix to an old mix it will only take 2 days to steep. I can't explain why but it does work and has been proven time after time.

To answer the OP's question, creams and desert mixes take about 3 weeks of natural steeping and about 3 hours in the crock pot. But as I always recommend, taste before you steep and if it's good vape it if it's not so good steep it.

Thanks for the info, I'll probably just throw them in the crock pot today since only one of them is non creamy or bacco.

Knew about seeding but had no idea it cut that much time off of steeping, I guess I'll try making some big bottles of my usual mixes instead of 5-6 smaller bottles at a time and try it out.

If you need to know more about steeping I have a nice blog on steeping. Just click the number next to "Blog entries" to the left just under my avatar.

It will work just as well with a 30ml bottle. When it's 85% used up add fresh mix to it and it will be ready in about 2 days.
