Hello, I've decided I'm gonna try my hand at homemade juice, I picked up some glycerin today, still need to track down the propylene glycol and flavouring, probably not gonna bother with nicotine at the moment, if I find I need it I will deal with that later. My question is how long do you guys like to leave your homemade juice to steep before vaping it? Do you find different flavours require different steep times?

In addition to what @ckquatt said, there's a bit more to DIY then adding flavoring and steeping. There are many additives and flavor combinations that will enhance a mix. A little research goes a long way in perfecting your blend.

Things like creams, custards, caramels, marshmallow and graham cracker are very common components in a lot of recipes, and are good to have on hand, especially if you start to get confident and want more complexity in your flavors.

For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum. Below is the information I often give to members new to DIY.
Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

Try your diy immediately after you give it a few shakes. If you like it vape it. If it improves before you used it up, fine. Giving the bottle a shake before you refill your dripper bottle is a good idea because ingrediants can settle and separate. The same goes for nic concentrate in the freezer. Shake the bottle before you draw from it to be sure the nic is evenly distributed. Nic has a tiny bit higher specific gravity than the surrounding liquid so it will tend to settle in the bottle.
