Steeping, can we be honest?

I believe in steeping. I've had complex flavors really benefit from it. Example I got a lemon pound cake flavor that you could taste the lemon right away but after a week or two the cake flavor really came out and I swear I could taste a lemon glaze. It was really good!! I think steeping or rather aging gives it time for the flavors to meld together and most of the time I can taste the flavors that are supposed to be there.
