I've heard people talk about steeping, and I get the impression that only applies to the "big" 30 ml bottles. Is this correct? How long should a bottle steep (I am assuming steep = sit around in a cool dark place for a while.)?

Also, can someone tell me about the "drip tips"? I've seen them and I assume they are more of a convenience than a necessity, but how helpful are they?

Many juices don't taste great when you first get them.... If you don't like it, let it steep a week or two in a cool, dark place (many recommend taking the tops off). Then try them again. I can't believe what a difference a little time does to the flavors! So, not just the big bottles. Any you don't care for... give them time and a 2nd chance.
Drip tips are not a necessity. Basically you put one on your atomizer and just drip a few drops through the hole. You do not have to do it this way but if you are just sitting around (and not driving or away from your stash) it is a nice way to get a deep and flavorful vape. Or you can vape directly from your atty (atomizer) but they tend to get warm....

even the small bottles need to steep sometimes. Most liquids are made to order so they sometimes need time for everything to blend (flavors). Some flavors teast great as soon as they come in the mail and others take a while, maybe weeks. I have learned to order my favorites in large 60ml bottles while I use my smaller bottles, the big ones sit and wait.

I sometimes use my drip tips when I'm trying new stuff and don't want to fill a cart. Great for testing. Or if you're sitting in front of the TV. Don't drip & drive. hahaha

Umm, you have to remember I'm a total newb. I just ordered my first bottles of juice today, I don't even know what they look like.

I'm not clear on what you mean when you say "you can vape directly from your atty."

I just realized you were talking about the 3-piece with a cartridge, atomizer and battery. I'm not familiar with those either. All I've ever use are the "cartomizers" (hope that's right), the 2-piece design.

Thanks so much for your help!! :)

dripping = take off the mouth piece and drip 2-3 drops of what liquid you are using onto the metal meshy thing. Replace mouth piece and vape. When the flavor is gone or diminished repeat the steps again.

In my opinion drip tips helps improve the flavor. All it is is a mouth piece that has a hole on top so you can drip directly onto the metal mesh.

Yes, you just drip a few (and I mean a few) drops into your atomizer and vape directly from it (instead of using a cartridge that is holding the juice). You do not want to do this with an automatic battery though, only a manual (has a button you have to press to get it going). Have you watched MistressNomad's videos on vaping? They are filled with great information.

I'm completely sold on steeping. The last big sale Gourmet Vapor had i placed my first order from them. Several of the flavors were not that good out of the box. I sampled after a week of steeping. They were much better. I let them steep for a couple more weeks and they are fantastic. So some juices do improve with age. The juices from Awesome vapor seem to be really good right out of the mail. So I guess it's different with each juice.
I use the drip tips on all my cartoz. I'm not crazy about the metal tips. I just don't like the "feel" of them.

I don't drip and drive, but I do it pretty much everywhere else. I've only been dripping for the past few weeks. I'm still pretty new to vaping (2/11/11) but it didn't take me long until I could drip while walking. Dripping has better flavor and it is easy for me. I also like it because it marks time like having an analog would. I use about 2 drops which lasts for a few minutes. I have a little eGo case, that I carry about 6-9 3 ml bottles or sometimes, I'll just carry a 3 ml bottle in my pocket like I used to carry a lighter.
