One more question. How much water do you put in?

Sent from my XT1031 using Tapatalk

I usually go to just above the level of juice in the bottle. If the bottle is only a third full and you have water up close to the lid it can cause them to kinda float and tip over.

Another question: how long a steep do I need in the crock pot, and how do I ensure the steam/humidity doesn't get inside the juice. I was thinking of putting the juice bottle inside of a bigger bottle....

Four hours is the norm, I've gone longer on some tobaccos. I always keep the caps on.

Stupid question, can't we just put it in the oven? :) I can set mine to 170 lowest.

Not at all...been considering this myself...no reason why you and I can't experiment @ 170 in the oven...I don't know of any documented info on the heat limits and most effective ranges for our ultimate juice pleasures...

I say go for it...you may be a hero and make a break-thru discovery...

hurry or I'll beat you to it:rickroll:

That is actually a very smart question ! I have a small toaster oven that takes very little energy because of its small size. It also regulates the temp automatically. I just need to make sure first that the temp reading is accurate. Thanks for the suggestion.
