Sorry to post a thread that is negative, but I am beyond annoyed with waiting for juices to mature. So many times I have wondered why vendors do not make juice in advance, especially the ones that are in constant high demand. Making juice cannot be that labor intensive, and once youre in business for a while, you should be able to map sale trends fairly easily right? So why doesnt anyone ever sell matured juices. I am a poor person so I cannot afford to stock juices, and I am an impatient person so I want to vape my juice ASAP, and I usually do, and if it doesnt taste good, I dont buy it again, so you lost a customer. I know if I were selling juice, I would make damn sure my juices were at their very best when my customers received them. That makes sense right? Thats all, I will now go sit on some ice. Thanks for listening.

I get your frustration. Sample sizes are usually steeped already but you don't have a choice in PG/VG ratio nor mg nic choice. With so many people wanting so many different variations of those three ingredients, it would not be cost effective to have all of those possible variations stocked. Then if you factor in all the people trying different juices from so many different vendors (it seems like new ones are popping up all the time) it becomes even riskier to have all those possible variations sitting on the shelves.

I am getting used to planning my vaping needs now that I have found juices that I like. Yes it would be great to be able to have my vaping needs met as easily as my cigarette habit was met. Maybe in time when vaping is more mainstream and there will be more stores that we can just walk into. This is relatively a business in its infancy that has grown very rapidly but we still have a long way to go.

I do sympathize with your frustration. Hopefully you will be able to get to the place where you will be able to have more on hand. Buy an extra bottle each order? Someone suggested to me to make my orders twice a month. Maybe planning it out will help you.

I'm sorry that you are having a rough time. :(

I understand your issue but for most vendors that is just not possible. If a vendor were only selling 10 flavors that MAY work. As it stands most vendors offer lots of flavors, different nic levels, extra flavor shots, different PG/VG ratios, etc. It could become very costly to mix all of those options and only sell a portion of what you mixed.

This is an industry that allows a lot of customization and the downside to that is steeping time. I do not really see it as a downside but for many, like you, that don't stockpile juice it can become frustrating. My savings from not spending $180 a month on cigs has more than paid for my juice stockpile. I spend about $30-40 a month on juice, which takes into account steeping time. I am not trying to be rude but it sounds like your, admittedly, impatient side is the root of your problem.

I have a sharpie and I just write the date on my bottles if they don't have the "born on" date already on them.

As for steeping, take the lid off and let it sit the first day. Replace lid and put them in a dark place and shake them daily. If you want to speed it up, take the lid off and use the hot water trick (I have had a bottle seam fail when heated as there was nowhere for the expansion to go when heated).

If you want a way to get some cheaply steeped, and aren't into the heavy duty DIY mixing, buy some plain premixed base (I use 50/50 18 mg nic) and a flavoring and make a bottle you can steep while you use the store bought premixed. Then you will pay about 5 cents per ml. and always have some of your own ready.

Ya dude you are right, but still I find that ridiculous. Why is there a need for so much customization? The vendors I deal with know what they do best, and that is all they do. These also happen to be the vendors that are soooo overwhelmed with sales, that I actually understand and accept the fact that their juices have to made to order. As you suggested, I have been shopping for sample packs at whatever ratio, nic level, due to my primary juice not being available, and still I get crap premature juices. This industry is terrible flawed and I believe it is customization that is hindering it's success. Things need to get streamlined in order to efficient, and effective, and I hope more vendors begin to realize this. People need to quit with the gnat's ... particulars.

So now that you have found your favorite juice everyone else should suffer? All vendors should just make a couple of stock flavors just so you can get juice that you can vape out of the box?

Yes, and no. Yes, vendors should most definitely quit offering so much unnecessary variety. They should find what they do best and concentrate on that. No, no one is going to suffer, because the vendors will be able to concentrate on that specific juice they do so well. If a customer happens to be the only one that loves a certain juice so much, then their sales will be a reason to keep making it and there will be plenty of it for them. I believe vendors are taking advantage of us by overwhelming us with a vast market of mediocrity instead of striving for excellence.

Customization is what makes this industry great and successful. I think some forget that this industry is driven by the fact that smokers are looking for a way to quit. The customization allows us to tailor our vaping to our personal needs. If we "streamline" the industry, we take away that custom fit people are looking for when they quit smoking. I for one am very happy as a new vaper that I have so many options available to me. IMO the cigalikes (Blu, Modern Vapor Sidesho, KR808's) are what happens when you streamline and only try to appeal to general public.

i just made 2 30ml's of a RY4 recipe a friend gave me..... they're gonna have to sit 2 weeks before i know if i got it right or not

I always try mine right after I make it. If it's good, I vape it. By the time you are done with the 30 ml's of the first one, the 2nd should be steeped so you will know for the future how much steeping is needed. Some of mine need NO steeping, and are vapable right away, they just get deeper and stronger over time. My RY4 is used pretty much right when I make it, because I like it so much I can't wait

I think you dudes have it right, and I just need to start making my own. My trouble is that I have tasted the "Bobas" and now I cant settle. Thats like boning pamela anderson when she was a teenager and trying to move on. I was turned off of RY4 by most likely a premature juice, and havent cared to try it again, so my DIY direction is a blank slate. I dont want regualr juice, I want awesome juice, I want BOBAS
