Steeping is letting the juice sit so it mixes properly. I do this when I order juice from a campany thay makes the juice as you order it. I haven't steeped in a while since I have been vaping evapes #22 ejuice which is awesome to me.... 90% vg. It has been my everyday for like 4 months. I drip on my local vape shops strawberry freeze with is an 80/20 vg/pg mix. He steeps it before he sells so I don't need to...

I've had my first rendezvous with steeping, all Mt. Baker flavors. The Cinnamon Roll was alright out of the mail, but a little too sickly sweet. After a week & a few days of daily shaking, letting old air out & new air in + a hot tap water bath for a bit, I can now taste the roll, the butter, and the baked good. I did the same with Blue Drake, but nothing happened, which leads me to believe that Blue Drake will never be for me. I have Black Clove undergoing the same process, but am letting it sit longer. The clove scent did get stronger. I hear tobacco flavors can take up to 4 weeks to get themselves right, so I haven't even touched the Vanilla Tobacco.

I've been happy vaping my pre-steeped Five Pawns, but depending on how the clove goes, I will most likely order some more from Mt. Baker & definitely want to try Vapor Chef!

My idea is that it lets alcohol from the flavorings evaporate but ive yet to test this.

This is true if you take the cap off.

There are actually two main processes that many people combine into one:

Steeping: simply let the juice sit. In many juices, especially with higher VG content, the flavors won't mix and mingle properly for a week or two.

Breathing: when you leave the caps off, the alcohol and other more volatile compounds, sometimes flavorings, evaporate off. Sometimes this is good, sometimes not, depends on the individual (strawberry flavors are typically more volatile - have too strong a strawberry taste, leave the cap off, if not, suck it down). Also, when you leave the caps off, some of the nicotine oxidizes. I PROMISE, this will not lower the nicotine content in a noticeable way at all. Steep on. But this oxidation is actually what is responsible for the color change that most people talk about.

What a great forum! I just started reading about this steeping. Doesn't sound like what I have always thought steeping meant but regardless, I was unaware AI was going to need to do it.
Just got my MT Baker Vapor Banana nut bread in the mail Sat. (dam fast service) and it was nothing like the BNB I have been vaping. Much more bread and butter flavor and very little banana to speak of. I am hoping the aging will improve it. I also received a flavor sample pack from Bulk E Juice today and evidently will need to steep that too.
Have nearly five days on the NT Baker stuff and I think the Banana is starting to come through when sniffing it. Hopefully not just wishful thinking. Tops off, nozzle removed and a daily shake.

Oh, and I've not tried Thug juice yet, but I highly recommend Seduce Juice, Suicide Bunny, and Teleos (Especially their Cloud Science line).
Seduce Juice - Genesis: Citrus/Mango/Absinthe (Absinthe flavor is pretty light)
Suicide Bunny - Mother's Milk: Strawberry/Milk (Delicious!)
Teleos Cloud Science - Alpha: Strawberry/Spun-sugar (You can almost taste the graininess of the cotton candy!)
- Gamma: Guava/Mango/Peach/Cream (Creamy fruity goodness!)

I live in Texas too, and I have heard and vaped Suicide Bunny. They have extremely good flavors, and they are offered in 3,6,9, and 12 mg. My favorite from their line would be Mothers Milk, but Ragna Rok also has a flavor called TYR, and its amazing!

Steeping is all about preference and the type of flavorings used. Do you have to steep? Yes an No depends on the flavor and if their is alcohol used in the flavorings. If there's alcohol I'll steep it without a cover, but with a napkin on top in a dark cool place for at least 24 hours or until the strong smell of alcohol fades. Sometimes depending on the flavors used steeping doesn't always make a noticeable difference in my experience, but it can improve the flavor or the opposite, it can make the flavor bad, but a good shake may fix the flavor. For somethings like tobacco flavors from what I read needs longer steeping times to get a good flavor. I've only used a few flavors strawberry, coconut, and lychee and for me just mixing small amounts in 15 ml bottles and giving a hard and fast shake for 30 secs is just as good as juice that has been steeping for 1-3 weeks+.

I know this is ridiculous, but I'm not sure if I could even gather myself up to try something titled Mother's Milk :)
LOL!! I had the same thought, but I tested it at a local B&M on a dripper and OMG it was GOOD!!

Hmmmm... I've not tried Ragna Rok.. I will have to look into them! (After years of DIY I'm now trying every pre-mixed juice I can get my hands on! I am discovering a ton of awesome flavor combinations!)

Y'all may try Vape On juices. They are here in Houston.. decent prices and not bad flavors. I tried their Rancher Candy (tastes like Jolly Ranchers) They aren't as complex as Suicide Bunny, but they are tasty and fairly cheap..
