Hello all,

I live in Europe and liquids from American vendors take about two full weeks to get to my mailbox. Would this qualify as adequate steep time? I'm asking because I just received an order from Mt. Baker and they all have the same scent. Very different flavors. I've let them all breath for about 36 hours. I tried one as soon as I got home and it didn't taste anythng like what it should. Just curious. Thanks in advance. vape cheers.

For most of my juices I begins the steeping process with some cap off time, three to six hours depending on the brand and flavor. I've found that a sealed bottle won't change much at all until I let it breathe, especially if any alcohol was used in the flavor extraction process. Gentle daily agitation and time (which shipping provides) completes the process but breathing seems to be what starts it.

Well, I'll let them sit in the closet for a couple of weeks. Thanks Cinetrope.

Many of MBV's flavors can take up to a month to steep, specifically tobacco and bakery flavors. I always find that the fruity flavors taste fine straight out of the mailbox.

If you haven't already you may want to get a little 510 carto dripper to taste test with and go from there.

I've got a Freakshow RDA in the mail. Should be here next week. I'll let these guys steep until then. Hopefully, I can keep my hands off of them for a few days.

Mount baker vapor uses flavor west for their flavoring. Most of the juice uses upwards of 25% flavoring and takes quite a while to mix together especially if you get max vg.

If you have glass e juice bottles and a crock pot I'd put them in the pot on low for 4 hours and shake the bottles every hour and put them back in the pot. Let it breath with the lid off overnight and it will be good to vape the next day

Here is a question. I'm asking because I'm not a do it yourselfer and not a chemist. I did recently ask a juice maker if I should steep his juice with the lids off. His reply was no because the nicotine will react with oxygen. I did not ask any further I just said ok. Anyone tell me if that sounds correct or what he meant ? I know I've read about people letting their juices breathe while steeping. What did he mean when he said the nicotne will react with oxygen ?

You'd have to leave it exposed for weeks to notice degradation in the nicotine, according to some testing done by Madvapes. So at least I wouldn't worry about that if you're going to do some open-necked breathing for some hours or a day. Of course, this doesn't address whether the flavor would be impacted. FYI, I breathe all my new bottles for about four hours after initial warming and shaking.
