@Trick

Awesome answer, thank you. I'm going to do it just like that. Luckily, one of my purchases was a 30mL bottle (Gandalf/Legend), so I'm definitely going to dig into that the day it arrives, and let all the remaining steep a bit first.

If you have some clean smaller bottles, put some in those. Smaller bottles sometimes steep faster. Make sure you shake the juice up before transferring them. ;)

From the man and lady who make HHV juice...caps/drippers off for a day or two when you receive it so the extracting alcohol can evaporate out of the juice. Most people like to wait another week or more before vaping but that is your call.

As for samples sizes (3ml), it is hard to say. Samples are premixed ahead of time. There is no telling how much in advance they were premixed. If it was an hour before your sample was filled, they will not be steeped. If it was a month prior, then they will. we have know way of knowing when they were premixed. If it were me, I would assume they all need steeping and follow the directions above.

Shake often!!!! Steeping is the process of flavor molecules making love. So the more they mingle, the more they bond.

Can one of you create a clean thread on steeping techniques? I read last night that Robin had something to that effect..

Can you get that information into a clean thread? I want the thread called HHV Juice Steeping Information and the relevant information in there. I'll sticky that thread then..and lock it.

Thanks!

Done and done. Any chance we could include Trick's post in this thread with it? I though it was good too.

Many times, steeping instructions neglect the dripper bubble. After you put the drippers back on, a day or two into steeping, the dripper will form a bubble at the tip. This is due to the molecules marrying and also further alcohol evaporation. I've found that if you don't pop the bubble, it creates a strain on the liquid to further steep. It will steep, but at a slower pace. I've also read reports of steep stagnation due to leaving the bubble at the tip.

The bestway to take care of the bubble is with a needle. Another way is to just give the bottle a gentle squeeze to push the air out and burst it. This, however, leaves the remnants of the bubble on the dripper's outside surface. AKA: You have trace amounts of liquid leaked out.

I usually just use the squeeze method because the leaking effect isn't that big of a deal to me. The needle method is creates a situation where it's all still clean and pristine. ;)

To each their own on that one.

But just remember to get rid of that bubble.

This will sound strange, but here I go.
Will refrigeration slow down the steeping process ? Sometimes I like my juices steeped, sometimes I like them better fresh. I would like to keep a couple bottles in fresh mode for a period of time.

I was having a conversation with Adam about a month back regarding steeping. It was actually about shelf life. He said his smoke juices will last a year if they are refrigerated. So yes, I believe refrigeration will slow the steeping process. As will keeping it calm.

And one other thing. Don't decap your bottles when you get them. The extracting agents of the flavorings will serve to ...... the steeping process.

Hint: Am new to vaping, but someone had mentioned using an 'ultrasonic jewelry cleaner' as a speed-up for steeping. Gave it a try and it worked like a charm. Here's what I did...

Got out wife's ultrasonic cleaner, found a smallish plastic container that would fit inside it, take off lid, place 6 bottles of new eliquid in the little box, placed box inside cleaner, filled cleaner with cool water 'til the little container just began to float, ran thru 8 cycles. A brand new juice that was all harsh with heavy alcohol overtones mellowed out perfectly.

Motion accelerates steeping quite dramatically. I've heard those cleaners are great.
