Over the last year I have only steeped 2 V4L juices on isolated ocassions. One was Watermelon and the other was Sour Green Apple. Outside of that V4L juices are good to go from the second you rip them from your postal carriers hand. I described a peppery taste with No. 7 at first which was so strong it was hitting my sinuses. For me, that generally is a sign that the balance may be more enhanced by steeping. So I steeped half a bottle to see what would happen. The sweeter flavors have indeed been enhanced greatly, the peppery buzz has subsided. The after taste is just a sweet, delicious, lip-licking, orchestra of yummy happy head nodding flavors.

For those that will insist that steeping is a myth, a fallacy, based on personal experience I respectfully disagree.

Try it yourself....take half the contents of your bottle and pour it into another bottle. Holding the cap securely shake that bottle vigorously for a minute or so, then remove the cap, the dropper, and put it up on a closet shelf for 24 hours.

Then put the dropper and cap back and let it sit for the next 5 days and repeat that process. let it sit for a day with the cap and dropper back on....then vape. I haven't tried this with any of the other flavors mostly because I really enjoy the bite in them, like Outlaw Apple.

Who knows....maybe I'm imaging things again?

The ideological blood bath over steeping may know begin......

Yes, steeping is real. Ask any DIYer. I've been diy for a few months now and especially with vg based juice steeping is necessary. Personally 2 weeks is the magic number for me. Really though with the chinese made juices by the time they get here they have all the steeping done imo. This may just be personal preference though cuz since I've been spoiling myself with fresher juice I find most china juices to actually be too old by the time they get here.

I'm very interested in the US juices because it would be nicd to have some premade juice layin around for when I get to lazy to mix and with it bein made here I'm hoping it will be fresher and last longer in what I consider to be the prime flavour time period.

Fully agree with steeping. Though some people enjoy their flavors straight from the get-go, I've had to let most steep at least a week (some haven't come into my preference zone until a month or more). Always seems more potent of a process for tobacco-based flavors; they seem to smooth and mellow other added flavors (cherry, apple, honey, etc.) together nicely. The DIY stuff I've whipped around took 2 months to go from "blech!" on the first night to "nom-nommy".

Though this seems to be the norm for USA made-to-order flavors from most vendors, I've never had a Chinese juice change on me from steeping. I'll assume this is because they're "pre-steeped" from the time it takes through shipping straight or via wholesaler transit, or perhaps they get manufactured in larger quantities and get to sit on the shelf for awhile.

Looking forward to trying the V4L USA line. Been eyeballing No. 7 since the list dropped, so thanks for the heads-up on its steeping difference!

SD... I have always been in the steeping is a myth camp. But now I'm starting to come around a bit. When we first got the Colonel Caramel I cracked open a fresh bottle and I didn't really care for it. I thought it was completely different than the flavor that we approved. I gave the bottle a hearty shake, put it in a cool dark place overnight, came back the next morning and the taste had changed significantly.

Ok SD not to hijack your thread, but I have talked to BornAgainstVape and there is another vender (not saying who) Who has a great e liquid and he says you have to let the juice sit about 2 or 3 days because his juice is freshly made (In america) and it does not sit unlike V4L, who lets it sit for our perfect vaping experience.

I personally do not like the "fresh" idea, but I will be honest, I LOVE V4L because I have tried many vendor's and including the one in the mall (5ML bottle for 30 bucks) And V4L has the freshest taste and flavor...

Now I do order 2 bottles of smilin and 2 of turtle, because it keeps me stocked for a long time, and the "older" bottles always taste a little better then the ones I am currently using.

Absolutely agree Krazie .My first batches of v4l smilin and so forth were older stock .
I have a new bottle of smilin and a new bottle of Dunhall menthol and they were just produced 8/2011...they are steeping to mellow ...they are way way too strong .I do not think they are wrong ,they just are the newest batches i've ever had .
My others were manufactured WAY before this ....

Yeah I like strong, but letting them steep gives them more flavor and more tasty vape then a fresh bottle. I personally like the idea of opening a bottle and using it.
