Kangertech TOPBOX Mini Kit (SUBOX Mini Pro)

This just confused the .... out of me, so many options for batteries and chargers and while I see the ones you all recommended there are more options like someone said nite something charger, there are two, D2 ,& D4? I feel so overwhelmed with all this, it's silly but I do
Lol, it can be overwhelming. Keep asking questions and it will come clear in time. For the Kanger Sub/Top box kits, you will need 20 amp 18650 size batteries. Good ones are the Samsung 25Rs, or the LG HE2s or HE4s. All are 20A, 2500mAh batteries. Batteries of similar power, but longer life, would be the LG HG2s or the Panasonic 30Qs. There are others available as well, but any of the named ones will suit. For chargers, you can probably get by with a 2-bay charger, since you're looking at a 1-battery mod. However, the price difference for a 4-bay is not a lot and this may attract you; you don't know what the future holds. Nitecore makes good chargers, I own three of them (and some others). The I4 is an excellent 4-bay machine, it takes good care of your batteries, and it uses blinking LEDs for a readout of charge status. It has a a little brother, the I2, which is pretty much identical but 2-bay. Their close cousin is the D4. It is, as far as I can tell, identical to the I4 except it uses an LCD display and you get better information about your batteries, like voltage, charge time and charge rate. It is slightly more expensive than the I4, and also has a little brother, the D2, for a 2-bay machine. I own both an I4 and a D4. I use both all the time and they are good gear.

Thank you, I did see that, I did find a complete kit on eBay, I don't think I am allowed to post the link but it comes with the correct battery (no option got it just can click to add)
key to it at this point is breathe - it can be a bit overwhelming at first (definite information overload, lol) - the nitecore d2 was the charger i mentioned (d2 will charge 2 batteries at a time, d4 will charge 4 at a time - only real difference)

you can do this - slow and steady, sister

Oh well that was easy lol thank you, yes lots of info for sure...while I sincerely appreciate ALL of the replies on here, I need to slow down and speak to one person at a time....so while I have you, I found a kit on EBay, I don't think I am allowed to post the link but it's $64.95 and I'll include what it comes with..does this have everything.I need? Since I don't really know what I am looking at I figured I would ask. If there is a better site then let me know. I did check out many of the links that were sent but because of the various options I didn't know what to do, started here..

I know that You are probably in Data Overload right now. And can Barely keep up with the Dizzying array of Links, and Models and Things you Don't Fully Understand that are coming at you.

And If I was New, I know I would be also. But Let me Give you one piece of Advice. Something that I (and Many) others have Learned.

Do Not Buy Batteries on e-Bay.

There are So Many Knock Off Products sold on e-Bay. And Batteries are something that you want to Make Sure you get something that is Genuine.

Stick with Vendors who have a Good Track Record here on the ECF for selling Batteries and Vaping Hardware.

Thank you, noted, I see now the importance. I recently purchased one thinking it would be better only to find it is way way less powerful but when I turn it up, I get this terrible burnt taste. Although I am not sure what this is caused by, I do see the difference in overall function.

There is another good question, I have all these coils I already bought for my aspire bvc tanks, 1.2 &1.8 do I have to buy different coils for the top box mini? From what I understand I think I do.

For some things, e-Bay can be Great. And you can Definitely get some Good Deals if you know what you are looking for. And if it is New in a Sealed Box.

But for other things, like Batteries, Not So Good.

Take your Time. Ask as many Questions as you Like. Make a Few Notes and maybe Create a Few Bookmarks in your Browser.

You're doing Fine.

Yes you do have to buy different coils for the new gear. All the companies make different coils for their brands. I had a few Aspire BVC tanks, they give a decent vape but they leaked. The next gear you buy (Kanger Topbox Mini) will require Kanger coils. I would suggest getting them in the 1.5 ohm size so you won't have to lower the nic level in your juice. For you to go Sub ohm (under 1.0 ohm coils) like the .5 ohm coils you would have to get juice in half the nic of what you now use, as the new tank would consume twice the juice you are used to.

It pays to have a backup, and the Aspire BVC will make a decent back up for you. You can even use the BVC tanks on the Kanger mod with a ($2) 510 to eGo adapter, sold everywhere.

I mouth to lung vape. When I went to the Kanger Subtanks I didn't like the wide bore mouthpiece (drip tip). I swapped it out for a cheap ($2) 510 drip tip sold at all vape shops.

The list you showed from ebay is the standard list in the kit. VapeNW, MyVaporStore, and Sweet-Vapes all had the same kit for $5 cheaper. When you buy from a vape store you have more recourse should there be an issue. Even the forum has a section where complaints are handled, and most all of the vape stores will work with ECF because they don't want bad publicity. The 3 stores I just listed average 4 days order to mailbox.

Thank you could you post a link to this adapter for the tanks I have please, that would be helpful to have since I already have Si many of them. I am going to purchase from sweet vapes, could you point me to these coils as well that you suggest.

Definitely. The Aspire coils will not work in the Kanger Toptank. However, your Aspire tanks will work on the Topbox mod and they would be usable there.

If you're going to get the topbox mini kit, Please be aware that there is no protection in place with the various modes. In otherwords, This mod will fire any coil in any mode and I'm very surprised myself since I just picked up a topbox mini just last week.

Not trying to scare you away from the kit but I've already made the mistake and accidently fired my nickle coil in TI, SS and Wattage mode. What happens is sometimes when you turn the unit off it doesn't always turn off in 5 clicks right? Well, what happens is it changes the mode you are in if you happen to be unsuccessful turning it off with 5 clicks because unless it turns off with 5 clicks, those 3 clicks you did to get there will have already changed the mode.

Please be sure to always know what coil you have in there and always look at the screen before firing it to always know what mode (TC or VW) you are in.

I've contacted Kanger about this but I still haven't heard back from them. I think everyone buying a Top Box mini right now needs to really know about this.

Do I still think you should get it? Yes, but please take into account what I said here. Be safe!:)

Thank you, while I have no idea what TC or VW modes are or how bad that is, I will now find out and make sure I don't do that. I thank you because I would have probably found this out while doing that at least I can make sure I am paying attention.

Hey one Question for you.

What is the Nicotine Level (mg/ml) for your e-Liquids? And what PG to VG ratio do you use?

This one is still on sale for $19.99 and available in Black, is made by a good brand, and has replaceable batteries:
Sigelei 50 watt V2 Box Mod

Just need 2 batteries then and a 2-bay charger like from NiteCore or similar. I bought 2 of the mods from there 2 weeks ago to stash away for use later.
I just picked up two of these and they work great. can't go wrong at that price

I am currently using .6 mg of nicotine and a 50/50 mixture

The Reason I asked is that using an e-Cigarette is Both having decent Hardware and having an e-Liquid that you like.

You mentioned in you Original Post that you were looking for More Vapor. And for something a Little more Satisfying. Something Very Simple (and Inexpensive) you can do is Buy a 15ml Bottle of say 9mg/ml @ 30%PG:70%VG in a Flavor that you know you like.

The Higher Percentage of VG will give you More Vapor. And you might find the Slight Higher Nicotine Level to be a bit more Satisfying.

Might be worth a Try before you buy a New Mod and a New Atomizer.
