Just want to share for those who still failed and don't know how to 'oxidize'/'passivation' SS Mesh (including me.. :) )
Thanks to 'peaceoffcake' for great guide and wonderful mod. :)
This guide is taken from : 'http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/233580-katana-14.html'

To use your Katana you need to buy kanthal wire and ss mesh.
I usually use #400 ss mesh and 0,20 kanthal.
Where to buy:
- ss mesh
The Mesh Company: Online Shop for Woven, Knitted and Perforated Mesh for Art, Craft, Floristry, Modelling and Engineering
- kanthal wire
buymywire

Before use you need to boil ss mesh three time 5 minutes. I do that every time in clean water.

Then cut mesh aprox. 25mm x 40mm and roll tight but not too tight in straw shape.

After that you need to oxidate upper part of mesh where the kanthal wire goes.
I use little butane torch for that. Let top glow orange and then you can put top in cold water.
Do this three times.

After third time do not put top in the water. Put on it drop or two e-liquid and let it burn.

Now on lower electrode you put kanthal wire as in picture.

Put the mesh in the middle hole aprox. 1mm above bottom of tank.

Wrap 5, 6 or 7 wrap of kanthal wire around mesh with space between loops aprox. 1mm. Wrap tight but not to hard.

Fill tank with liquid and put few drops on coil.
Then you can press the push button.
If kanthal wire glow you need to put begining and/or end of kanthal wire closer to the electrodes.

I hope you understand me all and sorry for my bad english.
