Ok was asked to do a step by step, this requies 3 pill "fobs" I suppose it is possible to do the work with just a dremmel tool but used a metal lathe and mill.

Here are the two housings after I modified them for use, one is the PT and the other is the 6ml bottle holder.

Bottom, notice the theads I put in the bottom of the PT for the male RCA jack.

Reverse Side, notice the holes I drilled for screwing them together.

Inserted the screws to hold the juice holder to the PT

Fully assembled ready for an atty and juice.
IMAG0166.jpg

Time to make the portable battery pack, I drilled out the top and inserted a female RCA jack.
IMAG0167.jpg

All the parts you need, I used a AAA battery spring and cut the hole in the liner, and reinserted the liner upside down in the top so the center post will make contact with the battery.

Liner and spring installed in battery housing.

Battery housing assembled.

Battery connected to mod

PT cable attached to mod for USB computer/car/or AC to DC adapter
IMAG0173.jpg

Fully assembled with a 901 to 510 adapter and 510 atty, the tubing is from a bic fireplace lighter. Juice bottle is a 6ml plastic bottle from U.S. Plastic. Fire red one in the back ground :)

Just a quick one.
Will those pill boxes fit an 18650 inside with a battery spring.

Very nice mod BTW..
Petercro

Thanks everyone,

Nope those pill fobs only take a 16340 battery (16mm x 34mm)
The 18650 is 18mm x 65mm Way too big, The outside dimension of the pill fobs are 60mm x 20mm, inside dimesions are 17.5mm x 52mm I suppose if you could find a pill fob that fit it then it would work.

Is the black wire even needed? Wouldn't the casing itself provide a proper connection between the two connectors?

The problem is the anodizing of the aluminum, the threading is anodized. I have lost connectivity when using the housing. For the ones that do not have the anodizing and just plain aluminum you can forgo the black wire. An alternative is to wear off the anodizing so there is aluminum to aluminum contact. Seemed easier to solder one more wire then spend 30 min removing the anodizing from the inside and ouside threads. :)

that is so hot. you love those hairspray caps , thats for sure...

i need to get some aluminum stock , a drill press , a lathe , and ... i guess a 4axis table for the drill press...

i love the way your mods scream "i have too much free time , and a machine shop" , yet they are still something the average joe could do...

if youre taking orders , id like a mod using the crest spinbrush charger , so that you dont have to plug your ecig in , you just set it in the ashtray charger...

just an idea for poker night/ sitting around... i do need one of your atomizers though , seriously. i am ordering a couple 901's , but you should pm me if you want to make one with an rca , and an rca-901 extender...

seriously...before im broke again...lol...

I built my own lathe, drill press, foundry, gear cutter, mill using the Gingery Machine shop books. I think the grand total for my initial run through was something like 100 bucks. I'm rebuilding the lathe for a wider bed/swing and changing it to steel and brass as opposed to pure aluminum. Its time consuming, but man it was so worth it each time I had my new machine ready.

its not that i wouldnt love to do that, and waste entirely too much money in the process . the wife would have my cojones if i told here i was going to be lathing some aluminum in our apartment...

i have looked through those books , and with the exception of the gear cutter , i have made a "lathe" out of a dremel for fly bodies , a nd a foundry for...well....nevermind what that was for...

yeah , she is giving me....the EYE o_O
