I've read a lot of the posts for mods and realize going mechanical just won't fit. My current set up is a couple of twist 650's with a few pro tank mini's so I can have at least 4 flavors with me at any one time and for the most part I love the set up mainly because I can dial in the power to get the most flavor out of a particular juice and it fits easily in a shirt pocket. I keep my charger in my truck so recharging is less of a pain since I'm on the road a lot with my service business but I'm still looking to step up to a better battery mod.

I've dialed in my preferred coils to 1.8 and 2.2 ohms on the pro tanks and one or both flavor wicks depending on VG content and this gets me about 5 hours of heavy use (i chain vape a lot on really good flavors like Astro and Savana or coolwater). Most of the mods like the SVD are a bit too big for pocket carry and Mechs the size of the k100 are too risky for accidental fires in a pocket when I'm doing my work. I don't know what all is out there but I've been leaning toward the MVP2 and e-vic. Out of these two what are the pros and cons besides the fragile ports on the MVP. Is there another mod similar in size to those in the same price range ?

The MVP is a good option, as is it's little brother, the VV V3. Same functionality, even more pocket friendly (it's about the same size as a twist in the 800 mah range).

The evic is only a slight size advantage over the SVD and is (IMHO) inferior, particularly if sturdiness is a concern for you (sounds like it should be, given your work gig).

You generally don't need to worry about most mechs accidentally firing in your pocket - most have locking fire switches. They're also the most durable devices. In order to get the regulation that you enjoy with the VV twists, though, you'd need to get a Kick module to put in it.

If it were my money for your situation, I'd lean towards the MVP, followed by the VV.

Have you thought about the VTR?

My VTR has become my favorite mod to carry out and about.. and I was carrying it in my front jeans pocket for awhile.. then I found a leather cover with a belt loop and I like that a lot better. I keep the "tank inside" configuration and it's no more awkward than a cell phone at your waist. I forget its there and it is very durable. I've dropped it a few times.. very hard drops and it doesn't phase it.

Even though it is fairly large.. I'd rather carry it around than something like my Vamo..
a Vamo in a pocket looks obscene.

Best thing is the VTR battery last me 3 to 4 days.

The MVP2 and the EVIC are two completely different classes.
(Note: everything I have to say is from reading, not personal experience, I have neither [I have a vamo, zmax, twist and egos])

The MVP2 is the very best ecig battery for the buck out there.
It is a high capacity passthrough battery; rugged.
Passthrough means you can vape while it charges.

The EVIC is a battery tube; you buy a replacement battery to put in it.
It is one of the few that features on-board charging: you do not have to have a separate charger; although I believe a separate charger is preferred.
On-board charging means you can vape while it charges the battery.
If features upgradeable software!
You can plug the thing into your computer and program it!

I'd be more carefull knocking around an evic than an mvp.

For somebody on the road alot, wouldn't it be nice to just vape off your vehicle battery?

Well after a healthy debate at the local B&M, trying a few people there had and all the info here, I settled on an evic. Three things it has over the MVP2 for me are the replaceable battery, overall size and pocket friendly/belt pouch friendly carry. I tend to have quite a few things on my belt when I work and even though I liked the MVP belt case it is just too big where being able to use a mini mag light holder for the evic is a big plus. So far performance is great and more reliable than my ego twists. Batt life is a big improvement going on three full days on the first charge doing heavy vapeing on a 2.2 ohm mini protank at 3.7-4.5 volts depending on juice.

My only issue is any shock seems to break the batt connection and turn it off. Any other tips for the evic?
