Better late than never I guess! I've used liquid Stevia Glycerite now for about 6 mos as a sweetener and love it for my DIY liquids. (Not the only sweetener I use though). I don't experience the cedar taste being reported here nor any aftertaste - unlike the aftertaste I get when adding those Truvia packets (stevia also - just crystals) to my coffee. Stevia Glycerite taste can be variable, depending on what part of the plant they are using, how they go about the extraction process, and the form one buys it in.
Anyway -- just thinking that part of the problem for some in this thread "may" be due to the alcohol in some of the preps -- or to some of the alcohol residual remaining if used in the extration but not at high enough concentrations that they are required to report it.
Here's the "alcohol-free Stevia Glycerite" I use if anyone's interested. I buy it from i-herb. It's label is by NOW, but NOW has several different kinds of stevia glycerite. Note: This comes in a brown bottle with a BLACK DROPPER screw on cap. The dropper was worthless as it broke after a few days and really stick stuff anyway, so I just transferred what was left to two empty 30 ml squeeze dropper bottles I use for making my DIY liquids, which was so much handier for a quick add of a few drops to either my ejuice or my morning coffee. Use as much as you like. Depends on your tastes. I use 5-10 drops per 10 mls final volume depending on the flavor I'm mixing.
IHERB --- BRAND Now Foods, Stevia Glycerite, Alcohol-Free, 2 fl oz (60 ml)(NOW-06952)
Cost from Iherb is $6.87 +$2 ship.
Can buy in multiples to save.
May be cheaper elsewhere, but do look for that particular bottle and advertising that states "alcohol free".
