If they come in a box I assume that they are in powder form. The Stevia most likely contains maltodextrin. In fact, MOST of the powder in those packets is maltodextrin. Do a google search to find out what it is. As to the Truvia, I can save you the trouble. The Truth on Truvia – Dietitian Cassie

I've used "pure" powdered stevia in my tea for many years and love it. When I started DIY I purchased a bottle of pure liquid stevia (KAL brand for both the liquid and powder) to put in some of my mixes. First, It doesn't take much to make it very sweet. I would start at no more than 1 drop per 10ml. Second, I hope you know how to rebuild coils because you will be going through a lot of them. I have one mix that I added 1 drop per 5ml of juice and I have to change coils after vaping about 5-6mls. Granted, the mix itself contained mostly sweet juices to begin with (caramel candy, English toffee, etc.) but adding the stevia most certainly sped up the gunking process. I also use cotton wick which seems to gunk up quicker than silica.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk you out of using stevia. I just wanted you to be aware of a few things.

ty, and ok i was a little skeptical of the Truvia but thought i'd reach if one was better or worse or even equal, the Stevia in the raw ingredients read as Dextrose and Stevia leaf extract ( 0% for all stats in the nutrition facts box )...
just wondering if stevia or even agave ( first reply ) diluted way down in something ( pg?, alcohol? ) would work as a sweetner or not even worth trying ( coil issues, ill effects, etc )

I doubt you would have any ill effects with the stevia. Dextrose is simply another form of sugar, which may be worse on the coils than pure stevia. Personally, I'd trash the truvia.

My liquid stevia lists the ingredients as, stevia-25mg per serving, vegetable glycerin-60%, and water.

I'd go ahead and mix the stevia with some vg and a very little bit of water just to see if you like it.

I was wondering about all this as sweeteners... we have a LOT of Truvia here and wasn't sure about using it in my mixes. Do regular grocery stores normally carry liquid Stevia...? I haven't seen any here, but... haven't looked that closely either. I'll I've seen in liquid was "sweet-n-low". <....ewww Lol

Any health food/vitamin type store will carry it (get the KAL brand). "Big Brother" won't allow it to be called or sold as a sweetener, so it is considered a supplement. The reason for this is that the giant food companies can't make nearly as much money from a natural sweetener (which won't hurt us) as they can from an artificial one (which will hurt us). We can all thank the (F)ederal (D)eath (A)dministration for that.

I think you and I are on the same wavelength where the government is concerned...
