I really hope that I'm just having a brain fart and I'm just missing something, so I thought I would get the opinion of those more experience than myself before taking this to the Janty board.

Starting last night, both while on the cord and when being used with a fully charged battery, it started sporadically misfiring.

Sometimes, I'll hit the button and nothing happens; no LED and no heat being produced by the atty. Hit the button again, and it acts like nothing is wrong, fires right up and life is good.

The other game it's playing with me is the blue LED will come on, quickly followed by the red, maybe about 3-5 seconds into the drag; definately not the 10 seconds as normal.

Like I said; it's hit or miss on when it's been doing it, so I'm wondering if she's just being tempermental, or, if it's an indication that something bigger and sinister is looming.

I did do a complete wipe down of everything yesterday morning; used rubbing alcohol on the atty connector, stuffed papertowel down the shaft followed by a wipe down and life was good throughout the day. This all started around 6pm. Before turning in for the night, I removed & wiped down everything again and even left the stick upright all night like an atty, just incase there was something in there that needed to drain out. It's not misfiring today as yesterday, but it's still doing it periodically. Mainly when I least expect it, so I'm not paying attention LOL

:) Please tell me it's happened to you before & it just worked it's self out

Misfiring? (interesting way of putting it)

I think you are describing the same thing I have happen to me. I attribute it to 'lazy finger syndrome' (I think that is the medical e-cig term for it). It is a BIG button/switch that must be pressed continuously (for gratification). After a while you just don't HIT it hard enough - I guess. Don't recall the 510 having this problem (very small button). I have found it helps (somewhat) to have the 'switch' pointing UP instead of down (just me). As far as the (your) other issues - possibly the atty is just too hot/warm for another vape at that moment. A learning experience/nothing is perfect/distraction for sure. Now sit back, relax, and have a BUD LITE!!!

You might also have a malfunctioning switch - keep track of when it's happening - the v1 stick I had did that to me, then just died all together.... and Ethan at Janty got me a replacement right quick.

if its a bad switch, contact Janty - they'll replace the stick (that's the beauty of the warranty...)
