I would call that an unregulated, protected mod.

It's simple enough to do. Use a MOSFET as the switch and monitor the voltage drop across the MOSFET. Too much drop equals excessive current draw.

I purchased one from a dude trying to sell it at my local vape store. Sells new and is Corporate so the possibility of them purchasing out of the question however they did not mind if I bought it. The guy asked for $20 and I gave it to him it's obviously a new device purchase recently. I hope it was come by honestly because I really like it it's a horrible gold color but I made a few external modifications to make it more to my liking. I really didn't think so but I enjoy the prince tank.
