Whether I'm using an iClear16, EVOD 1, or ProTank 2 on my innokin iTaste vv v2, my battery always becomes sticky. There is no leaking or anything going on and the battery isn't covered in juice. It's just sticky. I've wiped the battery down with warm water and a wash cloth but it ends up being sticky again. Anyone have similar problems or have a fix?

I already said but it's an Innokin iTaste vv v3
I'm still trying to wake up, my apologies lol. Anyways, the only thing I can really think of is maybe when you filled a tank up, some might have ran down the side? You did say you washed your hands often, and there isn't any leaking... I can't really think of anything else that might be the cause of it. ):

How long does it take to become sticky? Is it sticky again as soon as it dries after you wipe it down, or does it take a little while? Is your battery getting hot/ warm while you're using it? Have you done anything to it, modding-wise? (wraps, nail polish, etc...) Is it particularly humid in your area?

Just throwing out ideas. Honestly, I'm at a loss if you are completely certain it's not ejuice...

It takes about an hour after I wipe it down and start vaping, it's getting warm but nothing serious, nothing is modded, and I live in Southern California so yeah.

In that case, I'm going to guess that it's just the humidity making it feel sticky, especially if you don't actually see any residue on it. (You didn't say, so I'm only guessing re: residue.) Battery warms up, attracts moisture from the air, battery feels sticky/ tacky. Not sure if there is anything you can do to fix it. If there is a residue, then, again, I'm at a loss.

Also, just a word of caution, and take it with a grain of salt as I am by no means an expert, BUT: my understanding is that your battery itself shouldn't ever be getting warm/ hot if it is functioning properly. The atty might warm up with use, but the battery shouldn't be any warmer than room temperature (or your hands, if you don't put it down often).

I have it in my hands most of the time during a session so it's as warm as my hands.

You have two threads going on about this, this one and this one http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/599677-sticky-battery.html The concensus seems to be that you are getting too much water on it by constantly washing you hands and the battery. Your best solution might be to get or make a wrap for it. You could also remove the original wrap so it’s bare metal, then wiping it down won’t be a problem. Good luck.

How would I remove the wrap?

Wait until someone else confirms this. The wrap is just a thin coat/tube of plasticish material shrink wrapped onto the tube, at least it is on my egos and Spinners. If you can carefully, gently, cut a piece at the top or bottom you can probably just peel it off. I haven't tried so like I said, wait until someone else chimes in.
