Ok I have read TONS of threads about batteries. I still have a few questions that I want to make sure I get right before I order batteries. My GGTS should be here any day now (hurry) and my UFS arrived today - B E A U T I F U L piece of work.I can't wait to try this out. Ok back to the battery questions.

I want to run 18650's I think. I like my current pv - Apex Ultra running a 14500 and a LR atty - I think I want to run the same kinda setup in my GG just with a longer lasting battery. So I want some 18650's I think, correct? Now I see two main varieties of 18650's out there the AW IC 18650 and the AW IMR 18650 - protected versus safe chemistry - am I doing ok so far? Now the questions - besides the two batteries being different mah amounts and one lasting longer than the other, which one is safer - or are they equally as safe? Do they actually perform differently? Is there a better choice for a 3.7 volt setup in the GG? Do I need a special charger for these or will my Ultrafire WF-188 work for both of these batteries? and I can get this up and running with my 14500's I have as soon as the mailman shows up right?

I am sure many of you have tried a few different battery setups and hope you are willing to pass on your wisdom to one of the newest members of the GG family. Thanks.

[EDIT] Is the fuse kit a worthwhile thing to do? If the batteries are safe is it overkill?

Your Ultrafire WF-188 Smart Charger will do anything you need. No need for a different charger.

Both batteries are pretty much equally safe

According to this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-issues/135545-whats-diff-performance-18650-2900mah-vs-18650-1600mah-high-drain.html

Using an LR atty 1.5-1.7 ohm, you really wont see any differences other than life cycle of the battery and also how long a charge will hold.

Granted, The GG line of PV's is probably the safest line out there. It would never hurt to put in as many protections as you can. Meaning, you never know when your gonna get a Faulty Battery or a Shorted Atty. So yes, the Fuse kit is a worthy investment no matter what chemistry of battery you choose.

i think safety is an important issue. So go on with the fuse kit.
btw i like the short configuration for my GG, my first choice battery is a set of IMR 18350 3,7V 800 mAh.
But if you really want a long lasting battery, also NCR Panasonic 18650 3,7V 2900 mAh is a very good battery, really good with LR Atty because of its good discharge rate.

I use the fuse w/double springs.. AW 18650 2600 and 2900 mah - Chain vape and get around 12 hrs. w/LR 1.5's
Have a couple AW Imr 18650's and get around 3 hrs. No way would I use it w/out the fuse or springs. The bigger the battery the less concerns if not stacked. Hope the following helps you out
