Batteries for GGTS?

I got my GGTS and UFS, but still didn/t ordered batteries.

Went to Romania, found great store with excellent choice of batteries (AW IMR, Efest, Panasonic) and didn't have time to buy them.

Stupid question - can GGTS use unprotected batteries? I mean, sure they can, but is it at all safe? With the fuse, I mean? I can get few batteries from my friend, he has spare AW IMR's.

i use my GGTS with unproteced batteries(not IMR) without fuse about a year now
i havent any problem with this
my batteries are 11 month old

Hmmm... so I am really tempted to try it even with unprotected batteries... it is crime to have this by my side and not to vape it.

Just one more question, if someone knows - can Efest 18650 2250mAh with dimensions 18.41x 66.88mm fit the GGTS? It is incredible than you can not find anywhere in Serbia li-ion batteries for e-cig mods (except some noname batteries)... and I found one guy selling these Efest batteries, so maybe I can use them until ordered one's arrive?

MNKE IMR 18650 has no equal

2nd choice is AW IMR 18650 1600 mah over the 2000 mah

MNKE is the perfect genesis battery , they really can take insane current draws , but I think the original poster wants a better compromise .

I am easy to deal with, I just want best batteries for GGTS, that's all.

These Efest I mentioned are just for first help, so I can start vaping tomorrow.

Great that you never had a problem and I hope you never will but maybe your throwing caution to the wind ? Some of these batteries have the potential to be very dangerous and even though failure is rare its not impossible and should not be overlooked .

i have a good charger and my batteries are named and well famed
(Panasonic,AW Ic protected,Efest IMR)
i take the chances thats for sure,but thats me
and its same for our friend to have the GGTS parked only for the batteries
and if he have a shortcut he will understrand it from the button heat

This is not my day. Answer to my own question - NO!

I bought these batteries today and tried them, better say tried to try them, and was unplesantly surpriesd. This batteries can not fit in the GGTS, 2-3mm is missing.

What do you mean? The TS should be able to use any 18xxx battery.

Not this one. Their dimensions are 18.41 x 66.88, GGTS is 18.5 but I forgot about inner tube, the one that makes it telescopic. It can not fit in that tube.

Nope, still doesn't move a bit. Tomorrow I'm gonna bring it to someone who has tools and deal with it... hopefully.

Strange! Anyways - before you throw these batteries away you can try the following: The EFest 2250 is made out of a Panasonic Cell. If you remove the "outer" wrappage then you will find the original Panasonic wrap, which will fit the GGTS for sure!
