Still burnt taste

So a week ago I heavily burned my Herakles Plus coil. I had the stock kanthal 0.4 coil on 75w and the button somehow got pressed in my pocket while I was driving. It made real nasty smell before I noticed. So obviously I changed the coil for 0.2 SS one, primed it and let it set for 20mins.
Still heavy burnt taste so I thought it was the juice and some condensation in the chimney that caused it. Disassembled it, washed it with water and a bit of soap, but still it kind of gave a weak burnt smell. Inspected all the o-rings and they seemed fine. Replaced juice with totally different one and still burnt taste. What could cause it? Have gone through a few tanks of juice and theres still that taste.

There's obviously still some residue in there somewhere. Strip it, soak it in hot water with dish soap and scrub every component with a toothbrush. Rinse and repeat until the taste has gone.

Unless your mod is firing a heck of a lot higher that you are reading....what mod are you using.

Im using Cuboid but it does the same thing on Evic VTC Mini

Wow, that is odd. Maybe a good wash out would help, but a full on burnt hit taste from just residue seems unlikely.

That isn't what OP was describing

Could be the o-rings absorbed some odor/flavor. Did you remove the o-rings and clean the grooves?

check and see if your insulator is melted, if it is, it'll taste lousy until you change it out

You fried your first coil and cooked your juice - burnt flavor and all from running a coil and wick dry for who knows how long getting into the liquid. You then put a new coil in - a tank full of cooked juice. Transferred the burnt tasting liquid into the wick of the new coil. And... there you are. You have to start over with a clean tank, fresh coil AND new liquid.
