Hi everyone! Hope you're all good.

I gave up smoking cigs and tobacco in January 2020. I bought a couple of cheap "e-cigs" from Amazon that weren't doing much for me. Bad quality, harsh hits, horrible build quality.

I ended up splurging (for me at least) and got a smok V-fin 160w TC. I was mainly looking for a long lasting battery. After going with this particular model, I've since heard from horror stories. But, hand on heart, I've had absolutely no problems with it so far.

I've been buying packs of five of vaporesso EUC Eco Universal Replacement coils 0.3ohm Euc ceramic.

After just finding this site tonight, I was wondering if any of you good folk had any tips? Going through some of the advice and everything though this site, you seem like a good lot you have a lot of knowledge.

As I say, I've been getting 0.3ohm, but saw that people were saying it burns the oil away too quickly. I've been getting through about 100ml of oil a week.

Would I be best going up to a 0.5ohm? Would this have any detrimental affect on my correct setup?

I've also read that 0.5ohm would decrease the amount of vape released, which I'd love, cos I keep setting of my smoke alarms with the about of vape in the room.

Sorry for righting my life story, but you lot on here seem dead friendly and willing to give some advice.

Hope you're all good, and have a good Christmas!!

First, it's juice, liquid, e-liquid, or some other varient, not oil, vaping oil is a no-no...

Second, if you want the ultimate control over how your vape is working, as in, how much vapor is released, a rebuild-able tank, or RTA as it's known, might be the way to go. You'll have the added benefit of saving tons of money on coils.

Also, welcome!

Cheers for the welcome dude :) Ha, I can see I'll have be banish the dreaded "O" word. I think it's just stuck, cos here in the UK the words are interchangeable, so the words oils, juice, liquid and eLiquid are all used, but in general, everyone is talking about eLiquid

All good, just that the diy juice scene has difficulty with oil soluble flavors, and the often confusion over "alternative" oils, which we have a new section for, but in general, vaping true oils is dangerous, and as such it's better to avoid any sort of confusion, lest the world build a better idiot...

Hi and welcome from rainy, overcast Spain.

In your place, I would try the .5Ω coils and see how I liked them. Wattage may need to be lowered...or not.

At 14ml +/- per day, you may want to consider getting another similar device and using them together.
One unit with double your current nicotine level juice and the other with 0 nicotine liquid.
Use the double strength to keep the nicotine monkey quiet and then switch. You may notice your consumption goes down and your enjoyment increases.

What is the nicotine level of the juice you are using?
How long did you smoke and how many per day?

Welcome to the ECF,
Merry Crimbo!

Ofc using the 0.5 coils as I see in vaporesso site shows they also need less wattage Soo u could save some juice and have less vapor production...
As other said tho an rta or a different device with drop in coils can change the way u vape and save juice but the experience will be different ofc...
An rebuildable atomizer is best and saves lot of money cause u make your own coils and u adjust the way the way u want it...
It need a bit getting used to it tho and it's not soooo easy as drop in coils are that take like 2mins to change a coil...but u get used to rebuilding after a while and it's no big deal spend like 15minutes every few days to change your cotton....
Think about it..

Where you least expect it....
Welcome to the forum, congratulations on quitting a bad habit. Hoping you enjoy your time here.

Perhaps you should consider using higher ohms at first and see how you like it. Try both DTL and MTL, worth a try but most importantly. Just give it a little time to see if you really like it and if any changes can improve your experience. Overall, no one finds the perfect vape in the beginning.

One thing that I have heard very often is to have a back-up in case I break the primary. Or it just dies on its own. Nonetheless , having a spare will keep you from grabbing a cigarette.

I would definitely go for an RTA. They are very simple to build and they can be built in different ways to match your desires.

Good luck!
