Just learned how very subtle a vaping problem can get ... I favor one particular pyrex clearo I purchased and use it on all my winders ... tonight I noticed that something was wrong with the draw regardless of which backup winder I switched to ... changed coils, wiped a little juice from the battery well, and tried everything to no avail ... the draw seemed a bit hard and my clouds were down to less than even the slimmest analog ...

I inspected the clearo and saw absolutely nothing wrong .... rinsed it in clear hot water, dried everything and nothing changed ... one last thought occurred to me and although the clearo looked perfectly normal and had just come through a hot water bath, I pulled a strand off of my nylon stranded broom and fed it through the two tiny ventilation holes at the screw collar on the clearo and spun the whole thing while holding each end of the broom strand ... bingo ! normal draw returned and my standard clouds ... only a newbie could be fooled for so long I guess but any newbies reading this should take notice ... seems I've learned the smallest and invisible of problems may occur sometimes. I have no idea what could clog those holes so well and be so invisible , I use only clear nic and vg too ...

It's called "gunk" or "grime" and it gets errverywhere.

Seriously, though. The oils from your hands, mixed with everyday dust and dirt, can clog up a lot more than a couple tiny pinholes, if left unchecked. I wash my hands all the damn time so it hasn't become a problem yet (plus I haven't owned my gear very long yet, either), but I have pondered what I should be using to clean out the pinholes when they inevitably do get too gunked up to use. Even the tiniest of finishing nails are too large, and we don't seem to have anything but big monster-sized paperclips in my house; I hadn't considered a broom bristle, but I think I would want to wash it first if I were going to go that route.

I don't think the quest for knowledge ends ever.

I'm so new with the vape stuff ...Thansk BWH and Wizard, but I hadn't thought that handling of course could clog those pin holes. I"m an avid handwasher anyhows (RN it doesn't feel right unless my hands are almost raw) *lol* but see I learned something new today already and it's only 5am.

I always drilled the airholes out when I used clearos so I could clean them with a paperclip. The side effect is a bit airier draw which is nice. :)

Before that I used staples when at work and that got annoying quick.

It's a bit crazy Brandon, After that incident I also too some plastic kite rod that fit the mouthpiece perfectly and ran it up and down like my vapepen was an old muzzle loader ... man that cleared it up so well it drew like it wasn't connected to a coil ... I don't even use any flavors at all so I'm really suprised ....
