I've been posting about some juice issues I've been having lately... bought all these juices that receive incredible praise only to be let down. I don't know how to describe it, not a burnt taste but a very strong throat hit and little flavor. I'm using halo and Johnson creek which I know is thicker. today I noticed a trend and am wondering if its related. I'm using all evod type tanks. I have 5 total. 1 is from a dealer locally when I went on vacation, works fine decent vapor and flavor. the other is one I bought off madvapes... still working fine. the other 3 I forget where I got them online but it's a big retailer... these seem to be the ones causing the issues. when I initially push my battery button they sizzle for a second and then there is a very large POP almost like its kicking juice out the tip. these are the only ones giving me real issues... could it be just bad evods?

Juice is usually the hardest to recommend when it comes to vaping in my opinion, and you probably heard or read this a million times, because taste is very subjective. You will just have to find a one or a company that suits your taste, mine was Mr. E-Liquid because although I hated menthol when I was a smoker, vaping is different and I like their menthol.
As for the EVOD, mine does sizzle and pop too, not really loud like top coil clearos, but they do and if it is giving you a burnt taste, the coil could be bad or if your using a vv device, could be that the voltage is too high. On the other hand, if it is giving off no taste but a rough throat hit, it could be leaking somewhere. Does it gurgle when you vape?

This is why I always keep an atty (7 really) ready just to taste the flavor of a juice before putting it into a device.

I can't imagine it is the juice. I vape Halo and JC all day out of top-coil tanks. Yeah, they pop and hiss, but that's the nature of top-coil tanks. I get great throat hit from both vendors- I vape 24mg Halo juice and 18mg JC juice. Vapor production is great from each, albeit a little more from JC juices, as the ones I get are all VG.

Are you allowing your juices to steep? ie take the lids off for a couple days and shake occasionally, then lids back on, leave for a week shake occasionally. Try. If not there yet, put them away for another week? Its very exasperating to begin with i know. The other thing you must must must do if you don't want the flavors to turn blah in your mouth is to drink plenty of water.

I was thinking the same thing about steeping. Also, Vaper Tongue came to mind as well. There are some days I can't taste anything & that's all it is. I'm a heavy vaper & probably don't drink as much water as I should.
