OK I Purchased some Halo Prime 15 (12mg) which I believe is 70pg although it's proprietary. I used it in an EVOD BCC with 1.8ohm coil & an EVOD 650mah battery. The description says "perfect for those seeking an authentic analog experience". I respectfully disagree. I have had a lot of tobacco flavors & this to me does not taste like tobacco at all. The description also says "hints of cocoa". I understand taste is subjective, however in most cases other juices from other companies have matched their descriptions perfectly. All I taste is a nutty flavor. Now I also purchased a sample of Evo Timber (12mg), it's description says "A mild tobacco flavor with a perfect blend of dry tobacco's & hazelnut. So I removed the Halo juice from my EVOD cleaned it put it a fresh coil, I opened the Evo juice it had a familiar smell. I let the juice soak in & took a vape, it had a familiar taste. It was Halo prime 15 spot on. Needless to say Evo's description was accurate. I did a little research & found that some people believe Halo & Evo are both affiliated with Nicopure labs. I'm not to pleased to pay twice for the same liquid looking for a different taste. I hope I find the perfect tobacco flavor someday, I don't mind sweet vapes, just not in my tobacco. So all that being said I believe Evo Timber is a 50/50 blend so this flavor is a little sweeter than Halo Prime 15. Throat hit was great on both as well as vapor production. Halo wins by a slim margin.

Manufacturers descriptions of product, especially e-juice product, is hit and miss. Most description try to be coy and clever but come off as deceptive and nondescript. Some strive for poetry, some for dense geek-cred. Many fall short of actually being a description of said product.

And yes, Halo and Evo both use Nicopure labs, and there is some similarity.

Most manufacturers need to be more concise and factual in their descriptions. I know it's boring, but I think it would go a long way gaining customer loyalty if they don't scare them away once they try the juice they just ordered and it's not the poetic ambrosia they thought it was.

How long did these steep before you tried them?

Tobacco flavors are notorious for requiring long steep times before they actually taste like they're supposed to. Mt. Baker has some great tobacco flavors, but they can literally take weeks to get right.

Had the same experience. I think some USA vendors are trying to appeal to the crowd that likes food vape and says they "hate" tobacco vapes too much. Than why vape food-tasting tobacco? I mean even flavored smokes/cigars/pipe aren't overpowering with food taste. I gave up and went to the originator (I guess) of tobacco vapes... Dekang... and have been happy with them. Having read about the Hangsen/Dekang employee split. I'm going to try some Hangsen. I always take the time to wade through the customer reviews as that's where I find the most in-depth info.

I think Prime15 is sort of Halo's 555, a nutty "tobacco" flavor. A lot of lab tobaccos that are described as an "authentic analog/cigarette" experience" seem to go for more of a cigarette experience replacement than the actual taste of tobacco. And to be fair, most commercial cigarettes have little tobacco flavor going on. To find vapes with what can be considered an actual tobacco flavor, pipe and cigar vapes tend to be closer to that, and extracted tobaccos get there closer than synthetics. Synthetics though often do a good job of recreating the feel of commercial cigarettes, and can be a nice alternative for someone transitioning from smoking to vaping.

I did not steep them. I have a tobacco variety pack coming from Halo & will try this with the Prime 15.
