Hello,

I'm fairly new to vaping, and have come to realize that not all setups are created equally. I started out using the cig2o disposables, and after realizing I was spending more money on cartridges than I was actual cigs, I gave those up. I then moved to some gimmick vape set up that was highly overpriced, but very well marketed, and worked for about 3 days before I started getting nasty burnt hits. I then bought a Vamo v2 variable voltage mod and a Kanger Pro Tank. This one worked well for about 2 weeks before I started getting burnt hits nearly every other draw. I then got a Pro Tank II, and the same thing started happening. After a while, the ProTank II wouldn't even thread onto my Vamo, and I was basically SOL. I searched a few other forums and saw some good reviews on the iTaste svd and the Kanger AeroTank. Now this was what I was looking for, at least I thought it was.

It worked amazing for about 3 weeks. No burnt hits at all. Didn't leak like all the other models I had tried, and I was actually tasting all of the liquid, instead of a half liquid, half metal taste. I knew it was too good to be true.

The last few days, my iTatse will shut off on its own for no reason. Now, I'm no pro on these things, but they helped me quit smoking, and now, I've become somewhat dependent on them, and really, I just enjoy the vaping experience. I'm not sure if it's the mod or the tank that is causing the problem, but now the AeroTank won't even fire when on the iTaste. I've tried screwing/tightening every piece on it with no luck. I put my ProTank I back on the iTaste, and it's working fine, minus the slight metal taste I get in every hit.

Basically what I'm searching for is the perfect combination of mod and tank where I have no hassle, no major maintenance, no bull..... I just want to be able to put the juice in, change the coil every few days, hit the button and get my vapor. I know it may not be that easy, but I'm hoping all you pros can point me in the right direction as to what the best set up would be. Maybe I just need a different tank, as this iTatse svd seems to be pretty legit. I'm tired of getting the burnt taste, and even more tired of these things just crapping out on me for no apparent reason.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

tldr; iTaste and/or AeroTank stopped working. I'm on my 3rd setup that has failed me. Point me in the right direction of a tank that doesn't give burnt hits or stop working after 3 weeks.

Thank you all

I'm all about simplicity and cost. My MVP 2 and evod clearomizers work great together. I typically have to change the coils every 2-3 weeks depending on whether i'm using it on my all day vape or the occassional flavor change up. I have several clearomizers i rotate through with different flavors. They are cheap so it makes it easier than having to clean them whenever i want something different.p

Sometimes switching toppers back and forth causes the battery pin to get pushed down too far for one or the other. Try gently prying it up just a bit by "walking it from side to side" with a nail file tip or sewing machine screw driver.. whatever fits. Just a bit will probably do for the one that's not reaching it to make contact again.

I don't hear it much, but I get the impression that low and middle of the road Mods don't last a lifetime. There are "some" repair parts available, but not as much as would be helpful to the user.

I gotta say that vaping has a big learning curve. I have learned a lot here in the last two months and I have downloaded a bunch of "how-to" posts. I experiment also. I know I started this to get away from smoking, but it has clearly become a hobby. Maybe, that is what is needed.

I'm just like you, Kitty. That is my set up as well, Evods and my MVP 2. I already had quite a few Evods that went with my original ego batteries. I was thrilled that they work so well on my new MVP. I ordered a few more after I found they were compatible. I have them filled with different juice and rotate throughout the day.

I still use my ego Vision Spinners with the Evods, too. I take the Spinners with me in the car when I'm out running errands, because they fit easily in my pocket.

I agree with you, and have read that low and middle of the road devices have a limited life. I decided for me, that was okay. I paid about $40 for my MVP 2, which is about the price of a carton of cigarettes. A carton of cigarettes didn't even last me a week. I'm sure my MVP 2 will do much better than that.:)
