Heya arjay, wanna share where you get fine pipe cleaners from? I've looked around since I first read a comment of yours about this, but darned if I can find any but fat ones. (I use tooth cleaner thingies and they work quite well for scrubbing, but they're kinda short and rather expensive).
btw, thanks for all the neat tips you've got scattered around about cleaning and disassembling. (even if I don't have the courage to try the ones on my Sapphires)
Thanks for the kind words 'VK', and by the look of your location you're either in Qld or the NT.
The regular thin cleaners are white in colour about 15cm long. You might be able to find them at tobacconists (if they all haven't been closed down).
We have a chain called Go-Lo which I think are called either Crazy Clarkes or Sams Warehouse or Chickenfeed in Qld. Look in the craft section.
The larger ones I use are a twisted double pipe cleaner which are
chenille and about 20cm long. They are bright coloured (fluro?) and work far better than the white ones (cotton?). I occasionally untwist one and straighten it out to use on small holes. I cut them about 7cm long and they are good enough for most jobs at that length.
If you can't find any I'll gladly send you some. Just let me know.
