Storage of filled Protanks

Was wondering as I see a lot of the posts on the forum a lot of people storing their tanks in the upright position. Do you recommend storing them that way? Is it a big deal if I don't store them upright? Has anyone had any problems with them leaking if stored laying down?

I store mine upright with those plastic tip caps that used to come with the Kanger coils; keeps dirt/dust, etc. out of them.

I havent seen any problem. The wife has 6 Protanks full, stored in what used to be a zippered screwdriver set. I keep 6 or so cartos in the same set up. Never a problem..no leaking. Heres an older pic of mine of the same set up:

I store mine laying down/on their side also. Haven't experienced a leak yet.

You should all be fine storing those clearo's down flat unless your tank is cracked and leaking. Good luck!

I carry two mini protank 2s in my jeans pocket all day long as well as an evod and a CE4 I have never had a leak. I broke an ego t in there but it didn't leak.

I have a mini pro tank that leaking, because I lost the o-ring in the base
other than that....no problem laying them sideways (even with some cheapo's I own)

Original protank (and my EVODs) I always used to store upside down as there is no opening in the tip.

If I use my vivi clearos now, I tend to store the right way up - but I more often than not tend to finish the juice in a day or two anyway, so I don't have any problems with them leaking.

The Texas summer is brutal so I started carrying a small bottle of juice with me and just putting in a mil or two at a time in any clearo I was using to prevent any storage / leaking issues.

Kanger tanks will only leak if the coil is not assembled properly and there's internal seeping or weeping from the tank into the center which will eventually come out the air hole in the center. This can usually be helped by replacing the silica "flavor wicks" with dye-free (organic if you care) cotton yarn, which expands when wet.

Mine get stored upside down, rightside up, sideways, inside out... whatever. Never leak or get gurgley.

yep same here, I have them whichever way with no problems of leaking. But I tend to store them upright, only because I'm OCD like that.

I store my stuff standing up, but just because I like it all neat and tidy that way.

i had a protank upside down for a day and it leaked a little bit.. not too much.
